Chapter 4

He was staring at me.

"This is so beautiful." I said looking back at the city.

"Weren't you shouting at me a minute ago?" He asked, no emotions in his tone.

"What? Right. What's wrong with you? You scared the crap out of me." I said, trying to keep my tone down.

He was silence, and then

"Katy's pregnant." He said with a fake smile.

My jaw hanging open, speechless.

"With her new boyfriend."

"But she just broke up with you about a week ago." I really couldn't contain my feelings.

"She has been dating that guy for a year already. She only broke up with me when she knew about the baby. She said she didn't want to hurt me." He said looking down at his thigh, managed another fake smile.

"She cheated on you? Oh, I am so sorry, Ken." I can't believe this. This is so ridiculous.

"I must be very bad, right?"

"What? No! Katy was the luckiest girl in the world. She must be blind."

He looked up at me, surprised.

"Oh. Sorry."

"Come here" he said.

I walked up to sit next to him. Suddenly he leaned his head on my shoulder. I shivered a little.

"It hurts, Kris." He sounded like he wanted to cry. Please don't cry, Ken. Don't. I don't know what to do with emotional handsome boy.

"I know, Ken. I am sorry." I don't know what to say. UGHHH. I am so useless.

Silence creep in between us, when he began to sit back up, his eyes red, he was trying to hold back. It's hard to see him like this.

"Sorry, Kris. I shouldn't bother you with all this."

"No. Hey. We are friends. Let it all out."

He gave me a thank you smile.

"Thanks." he said. I grinned back.

"Are you all right?" I asked.

"Dying. But I'm okay." he smiled.

"Not bad, eh? Still know how to joke." I said.

After a while he asked out of nowhere "Do you want to go back?"

"Can we stay a little longer?" I plead.

He nodded.

We didn't say another word just sitting there, enjoy the view and enjoy each other company.
