My world was full of Ken. He was everywhere every time. We went to school together. We stayed close all the time. We held hands. Our fingers entwined whenever we were together. And that happened 24/7. We said good morning with kisses. We kissed a thousand times. We laughed. We were happy. I have never seen Ken this happy. I was glad he was happy. I hoped I was the reason.
A week has passed since that night. I was officially dating Ken Hembrick. The thoughts of Ken being my boyfriend got me rolling in my bed back and forth unstoppable. I just couldn't believe it. My crush had a crush on me. Ken Hembrick, the hottest boy in school liked me. How is that possible?
Ken left me notes in my locker at school everyday. His first note said "Morning, sweetie."
His second note asked me to meet him after class so that we could go home together. His other notes said things like "honey, that boy in your french class stares at you all the time. I'm jealous. Tell him you have a boyfriend." "love the skirt you wore this morning. So hot." "You rocked that red lips, baby but sorry for ruining it this morning. ;)"
His latest note said "hey, sweetie. I forgot to tell you but this morning in the car you tasted like strawberry." This one got me smiled like crazy. I looked around to see if anyone saw me. My gaze locked with Fred from French class Ken told me about. I smiled at him, but he just stood there. The fuck? Never mind. I was in a good mood.
Two days after that, Fred kept staring at me which unnerved me. One day, Fred followed me to my locker again, but this time he walked in my direction. I was kinda scared, I texted Ken before Fred approached me.
"Meet me at my locker." I texted Ken.
I felt a hand gripped my shoulder. I turned around, it was Fred.
"What's up?" My voice shaking. He didn't say anything but his hands wrapped around my waist.
"Hey! What are you doing? Let go of me." I said trying not to shout. His gripped was so tight, I couldn't remove his hand.
"Let go!" I said loudly enough for a few people around me to turned in our direction. They did nothing. Fred leaned in just when Ken turned him around and punched him in the jaw hard. Fred wasn't Ken's match, but he managed a bruise near Ken's eyebrow anyway. Fred got a bloody jaw and a bloody nose and a blue eyes. Ken lifted Fred up, pinned him against the row of lockers grabbed him by his collar and said "Don't touch her again, asshole. She's mine." Ken dropped Fred and turned toward me.
"Are you okay?" Ken's hands that wrapped around me made me felt so secure unlike Fred's. I nodded for his question. Ken called me 'his'. I was so happy to be 'his'. A teacher came in and gave them both detentions."I told you, Kris. That guy was an asshole." Ken said while I was applying medicine for his eyebrow.
"I'm sorry that you have to hurt like this and sorry for the detention but what can I do when he approached me like that?" I said. Ken didn't answer, he was thinking of a solution.
"My girlfriend is so hot that boys were fighting for her" He said, twitching a smile.
"Oh you just noticed that, huh?" I said, pushed his eyebrow hard which made him gasped. He laughed afterward. He kissed my forehand and took my waist. I was on his laps. He played the hem of my shirt and said "You got me breathless every time, baby. I knew you are hot." He breathed the last word, made my spine shivered and I blushed. He smiled and kissed both my cheeks. "You are so cute when you blush. And don't hide that smile. I love your smile" I smiled and he kissed my lips.
