[IS THIS SHINSO'S QUIRK. HE DIDN'T STAND OUT AT ALL BUT COULD HE BE SOMETHING AMAZING?]

Pres mic and Aizawa were going on about how Shinso's quirk was a good one but unfortunate as he couldn't test it against the robots for the entrance exam. Thankfully I had been recommended and didn't need to do anything crazy like that.

And then Midoriya began to move. And headed towards the boundary line.

"Deku, why?" Uraraka whispered under her breath as if she could talk to him.

"If you go out of bounds, you'll lose the match!" Ida was chopping at the air once again.

"£50 on Midoriya's victory through out-of-bounds." I held out fifty quid and she put down another.

"£50 on him using his quirk to defeat him." She said mischievously and pulled out a jar where we put in both £50.

The booth was in a slight ruckus as they were all wondering what was forcing Midoriya out of the stage. There were the occasional cheers that were in an attempt to awaken Midoriya but to no avail. The tension was strung up tight and was mere moments from snapping. As his footsteps approached the white tape of the boundary line, the thread was slowly being snapped as twine now popping out.

Unexpectedly, a small wave of dust flew from the floor and Midoriya began to heave in gallons of air. When it cleared up, his feet were both inside the boundary. The thread had snapped,

[THIS IS...MIDORIYA HAS STOPPED!]

A roar of voices erupted from the crowd and cheers began to be spill out towards our underdog.

"Midoriya!" Ida pumped both his fists in the air out of exhilaration and motivation as his friend has managed to escape his trance.

"I'm...I'm so glad!" Uraraka was holding her hands together as if in prayer and seeing god's work unfurling before her.

Shinso looked in horror as his plan, too, unfurled before him. With Midoriya out of his trance, he could then be easily eliminated.

"Well, it looks like I won that bet-" I cut off my ex whilst keeping my eyes on the match.

"This is until the end of the match. No cheating in taking the spoils of war."

I watched closely as this aspiring hero approached his rival. Shinso was doing all he could in order to regain control of Midoriya but found it useless as Midoriya seemed to have remembered what Ojiro had told him before. Midoriya has then begun to push him out of bounds, while simultaneously tanking the punches and blows that Shinso threw, all in the attempts to ensure his victory. He then used Midoriya's injury as an advantage and turned the tables on Midoriya, pushing him out instead. As they closed in on the boundary, Midoriya hurt his fingers ever more and used both his arms to throw Shinso over his shoulder and into the ground. When the dust had settled, Midnight announced this round's winner.

"Shinso is out of bounds! Midoriya advances to round 2!"

And the crowd went wild.

"So, it's Todoroki and Sero's turn now, isn't it?" Hagakure was instigating another discussion.

"Todoroki wins, hands down." There was a unanimous agreement to that claim.

"Hey! Don't doubt Sero! I'm sure he can get himself involved in this somehow?" Kaminari put out his opinion which Kirishima and Ashido nodded to.

"No offence to him, but the chances of that happening are pretty low since this is Todoroki we're talking about." I rebuked which set in stone what was going to come next.

"Ah, Midoriya. Congrats on your victory." I waved to him as he entered the booth. I kept my hand out, implying for a clap, but he took it as a shake. He then went off to Uraraka and Ida. I brought my hand down and looked at it for a few passing moments; what brought me back was the sounds of laughter from Charlie.

"Pfffftt!! What the heck was that!? Oh my lord, that was absolutely the most random thing one could do– owowowow! My nose!" I interrupted her hysteria by pinching her nose and lifting her by it, leading her to stand up slightly and ask for mercy.

"Would you two shut it already!?" Bakugou seemed irritated as his face turned to mine and he had a lot of veins popping out of it. I was about to retort a witty comment but Charlie already did it for me,

"No, you." She said and her eyes flashed a hazy purple. Bakugou was about to shout again, but his attempt led him to find out that his voice was inaudible. He then began to conjure explosions in his hand and even those were silent.

Charlie's quirk was a selective sound amplifier or something like that. She could assign a person, object or even area to be quiet for a group of people to walk through in silence to increase the sounds of foliage and birds as a distraction for guards.

"Charlie, don't do that." Reprimanding her managed to have her undo her little trick.

"Little bitch!" Bakugou was bound to jump her in any moment, but Kirishima was holding her back and, unbeknownst to most other people, I was holding her arm. And I was holding it tight.

"Start!"

I watched Sero swing a wrapped up Todoroki to the borderlines and he was about to reach it until Todoroki decided to make a brash move. Instead of just freezing Sero, he ended up creating the same damn iceberg that sunk the Titanic. Silence was all that was left for Todoroki's victory. A cold and lonely silence for a bitter and troubled boy.
