Keep Running KUNXIN Edition

CHAPTER 20

YUXIN POV

Today is my third day in Beijing city. I'm currently in my studio organizing endless files on my desk even though I've cleaned up since yesterday. I do have employees who can do this but important files especially when it comes to finances will remain my responsibility. Originally the file wasn't that much but since I piled it up for two weeks, it turned out like this. A pile of work...

I struggled for quite a while and I finally got it done. As I packed it into the folder, a pair of hands that I familiar with wrapped around my waist from behind. I turned around when I made sure no paper was left behind.

"Hi, Kunkun." I greeted when I saw Kun hugged me back when I turned around.

"Hi babe, I miss you..." He said in a very adorable voice.

"Miss you too," I said and hug him again.

Kun just finished his photoshoot in Beijing and immediately headed to my studio. I found out because we swapped schedules and if I forgot to give it he would ask my assistant for it. I didn't mind it because we agreed on it. Today Kun will stay at my apartment while watching the first episode of 'Keep Running'.

"Have you eaten?" I asked Kun.

"Not yet. I came here right after I finished shooting." He answers, I knew he would be in a hurry so I ordered some food.

"I ordered food earlier, we can eat before going home. All my work is done too." I answer

We entered my apartment and Kun immediately put his suitcase next to the living room. Kun took a shower in the bathroom that was in my room which was also his room because he didn't want to sleep in a different room. I went to the kitchen to get ice cream in the fridge after changing into my oversized t-shirt and hotpants (Yuxin and hotpants can't be separated #fourtry2 😂).

I waited on the sofa while eating my ice cream quietly. Kun came out of the room and joined me on the sofa in the living room. Kun sat next to me and started to turn on the television because the show was about to start.

"Babe, can I try your ice cream? You seem to really enjoy it." Kun asked who had seen me enjoying the ice cream in my hand.

"No, you took my potato chips on our way here. There's only a small amount of ice cream left anyway, I can't share it." I said, don't expect me to share it. He was the first one who snatches my food on the way to my apartment earlier.

KUN POV

This is the first time I've seen Yuxin turn out to be so childish. She didn't want to share her ice cream just because I grabbed her potato chips in the car. I love seeing this side of her, it means she's comfortable with me.

"Okay," I replied, chuckling at that. Yuxin really became more relaxed with me after we had a lot of time together in L.A, a place I will always remember because that's where our relationship started.

I turned my focus towards the television when the intro of 'Keep Running' sounded. Yuxin who had finished her ice cream immediately threw it in the trash and sat back next to me. We occasionally laugh when something is funny, especially when the members are confused about communicating in English when there are foreigners in the game.

We've finished watching episode one and now Yuxin is serving the soup she made this afternoon for dinner. I finished it quickly because I'm really hungry, I even finished two bowls of soup.

I went into our room after finishing my meal. My phone rang when I'm in our room and my manager's name was on it.

"Hello?" I greet automatically when receiving the call.

"Kun, are you ready for tomorrow?" She asked from the other end.

"Of course," I answered confidently.

"Okay." She answered and immediately turned off the connection.

Yuxin comes into the room shortly after and lay on the bed playing with her phone. "Babe, do you want to sleep?" I asked because she did look really sleepy and let's not forget the pile of files she just finished.

"Hmmm, are you going to sleep now?" She asks again

"Yeah, I'm done with my business. I've also made sure we don't have a schedule tomorrow so you can rest and we can have some time for us to be alone."

Yuxin nodded from the bed and patted the mattress next to her indicating for me to lie down next to her. I greeted her happily, it seemed she was starting to pampered because she was sleepy.

I hugged her and she comfortably rested her head on my chest like she always does when she sleeps. Soon Yuxin fell asleep and I followed after.

This morning I woke up first and found Yuxin still sleeping soundly in my arms, it seemed she was really tired. I got up after making sure Yuxin was in a comfortable position and covered her with a blanket to keep her warm.

I headed to the kitchen looking for ingredients I can use for breakfast this morning. I decided to make a sandwich, after I finished preparing breakfast for the two of us I went back to our room to wake Yuxin because it was already 11 am.

"Babe... it's time to wake up." I said trying to call her awake.

"Emmm... later... I, wake up... later..." she said whining. I couldn't bear to wake her up but she shouldn't miss her breakfast either. I decided to carry her so she could still sleep, Yuxin wrapped her arms around my neck and wrapped her legs around my waist. I took her to the table and started our late breakfast. Yuxin sat on my lap and finished her breakfast while leaning her body against my chest.

I enjoy the view of her sleeping soundly like a baby while trying really hard to stay awake for eating her breakfast or should I called it brunch...

We finished breakfast (brunch) quietly especially Yuxin who ate while sleeping, I had to wake her up several times because she forgot to chew the food that was still in her mouth.

Yuxin went back to sleep and I went to the room where Yuxin put her piano. I spent hours there playing with the piano and maybe I could find a cord for my next song.
