Love Blossoms

Chapter 34

We smiled and she gave me a hug. We then spent the remaining time together. She was really wanting to get to know me. I now feel like everything is coming together. We were becoming one family.

Even since that day not a lot happened. Everything is good. The future looks great. Soon this will be over. But hopefully not for our marriage. I woke up early this morning. Helia was still asleep. I crawled out of the bed quietly. I really couldn't sleep last night. I had a lot on my mind. Today is the day I must answer the most important question. Will we stay together or get a divorce?

I went to distract myself. I need to think about something else before this makes me go crazy. I know last night Helia did tell me that he was going nowhere, and he is here to stay. But anything can change or happen. When I got back from my distraction, I headed into the garden I share with my mother and sister.

"I thought I was the only one awake." I spoke.

"Who do you really think you get the early rise from? Definitely not your father." She told me.

I couldn't help myself not to laugh. I headed over and looked at the roses that were growing. I then went and sat by her on one of the benches. She then looked at me and asked,

"What is bothering you?"

"How do you know something is bothering me?" I asked her.

"One, I am your mother I know it all. Two, you always try to get something to distract you when something bothers you. You try to get something else to replace to problem that is bothering you. You always do this to help clear your thoughts ever since you can walk." She answered me.

"Well, today is the day I have to make a decision on my marriage with Helia. I am so nervous on what he might say. I already know I want to make this work. I want to be with him forever and have a family." I told her.

"Oh honey. Stop stressing yourself out. That boy is in love with you. Right when he first saw you on your wedding day he was in love. His eyes light right up. Everyone in that could tell. He would be crazy if he chooses anything else." My mother told me.

"Thanks mom. I really needed to hear that. I have been over thinking it all." I told her.

"Always honey. Just remember follow your heart. The facts have been shown and they are all there. It is always right." She told me.

Time has gone by fast. It was almost time for Helia and I to leave. I went back to my room to get ready. I put on one of Stella's dresses she made for me. I did a simple make-up look. After I got done, I did one more look over. I then went to meet Helia out front. There was a ship waiting for us there.

"You look amazing." He told.

"Thanks. You look pretty good yourself." I told him.

We then headed out. The whole time of traveling I was nervous. I had butterflies in my stomach. When we finally landed Helia let me get out first. We were token right inside. Right to a room with the experts.

"Hello Helia and Flora." Dr. Logan said.

"Hello there." We said together.

"So, today makes a year from your marriage. We are here because you have to decide if you two want to be together still or get a divorce." Dr. Logan told us.

"What will be your decision today Flora?" Dr. Pepper asked me.

I looked at them and then to Helia. I know for a while now what I wanted to do. I then said,

"I would love to stay with the man that I call my husband. He has become my rock and everything. So, I want to be with Helia forever."

I looked over to Helia. He had a huge smile on his face. I smiled back at him. Then Dr. Pepper asked Helia,

"Helia, what have you decided?"

"Since the first day I saw Flora, I know what I wanted to do. I know fate would help me when I started this. So, I want to stay together with her and have her as my wife." He told me.

My smile just grows even bigger. I then leaned over and gave him a kiss. He kissed me back. We then looked at the experts.

"So, happy for you two. Now the experiment is over and you two will stay together. You two have a whole world adventure. Hopefully those adventures bring happiness and amazing memories." Dr. Logan said.

After that we head out. Now our lives have begun. A new chapter has just started. I can't wait to see what it holds for us. If I have Helia, I can do anything. I now know he feels the same thing too. Love has blossom with this experiment.

A Few Years Later

After the experiment was over nothing really changed. Helia and I have been living on Lynphea together when we are not at Alfea teaching. The only thing that changed in our lives is that we have a beautiful baby girl named Iris. Our lives have been better than ever. We could not ask for anything else.
