Hey guys!

So, I decided to put the next section about how to write your story. Well, I can't really tell you how exactly to do that, but I can most definitely give you tips.

1. Pick a decent genre.

If it's your first story, I strongly recommend a fanfiction. Those are the most popular genre available on Wattpad, and what most users are interested in. Once you have a strong fan base, you can go ahead and write other stories. People who enjoyed your fanfiction will also read your other ideas. Unless you're another J.K. Rowling, don't expect your first fantasy to get thousands of reads in a few days.

2. Avoid clichés.

This is so tough to do because they are so common. In the first chapter, the girl's alarm clock buzzes, she wakes up, gets dressed, and goes to school. Unfortunately, this used to be the starting of my own fanfiction, until I was advised to change it. Don't write something everyone can predict; keep them on the edge of their seats. Give your readers something that they can't find in other stories.

3. Keep it real.

Don't make every character a multi-millionaire fashionista with branded clothing, the perfect boyfriend, and a glamorous life. Nobody wants to read a story where everything is perfect for the protagonist; create more conflict.

4. Conflict.

The best advice any writer can every give you is to create as much conflict as you can. The more, the better. Introduce new problems the protagonist must face; now that's realistic.

But, don't get too carried away with this one. There shouldn't be so much conflict that the reader is confused and unable to keep up with the work.

5. Cast

This one is super important. You want to have a really good cast. This doesn't necessarily mean casting Ariana Grande and Harry Styles for each role; it doesn't have to be mega stars. The cast could even just consist of some smaller stars, like YouTubers or minor actors, if you feel that they for the role best. Don't feel obliged to cast beautiful billionaires for the part of the Physics teacher.

6. Characters

You want to have interesting, unpredictable characters. Sure, here and there, the girl will be moody or the boy will be in fistfights. But, you want to keep your characters as original as you can. Don't copy other people's, and try and make the moves of the character unpredictable, so that the readers can't help but turn the pages.

7. Grammar/Punctuation

This is so crucial! Seriously, I might have to write a whole part just about this topic alone. Don't misspell common words (e.g. writing sheat instead of sheet). Also, make sure that the word you are using has been used in correct context. It's not a good idea to just find a fancy word and use it, without even knowing the meaning.

Alright, well that's about it for now! Leave a comment below telling me some of your tips, and what you'd like to read about next! xoxo
