Okay, so this part is dedicated solely to book covers. I think this issue needs to be directly addressed.
Believe it or not, EVERYONE judges a book by its cover. EVERYONE! Literally! If your book has a nice cover, your story could be super crappy, but people wouldn't be able to resist the urge to click on it and see what's in store.
BUT, if your book cover is (I'm sorry to say), unattractive, majority of readers will zoom past your story without giving it a second glance. It's not their fault: it's human nature.
How many times have you picked up a book just because the cover was bright or caught your attention? That's the case with most books I've read. The key is to have a great cover alongside your good story.
So, how do you make a good cover? Well, it's actually pretty simple.
If you want to design your own cover, you can download some apps or use certain websites to help you out. Some apps that I use for covers are:
Pixlr
PicCollage
PicMonkey
PSExpress
If you're not really on the creative side, or you don't think you'll be able to create your own cover, don't stress it! Wattpad's got you covered! You can find plenty of users on here that will be more than happy to make covers for you, as long as you give them credit. Some, however, expect some sort of payment, like a follow, dedication, votes, etc. If you think you'd be up for it, go ahead and send someone a PM!
Having trouble finding someone who will make you some cool covers? Go to a club! Wattpad's community section has a ton of clubs where you can find users who will design you awesome covers. I, myself, make some covers too (wink wink). So, if you'd be interested, hit me up in a PM, I'd be glad to help :D
Looking for a picture to use? You can find some really cool cover ideas on websites like Pinterest, Tumblr, and WeHeartIt.
Always remember to keep the font as large and readable as possible, and make sure that your cover actually goes with your story. If it's a fanfic, I highly recommend sticking the celebrity's face right in the centre, to attract more attention.
