"You know... I keep forgetting that you aren't really, like, alive anymore, (Y/N)." Mista held his arm out to Giorno who had exited the turtle to patch up the gunslinger's bullet wounds. "I was really worried the mold would get you even though I know you weren't affected by it earlier."

"It was still dangerous, though." Bruno deviated his attention from the road for a second to look at you who was sitting in the passenger seat. "What if they had managed to pull you into the ground before you attacked them?" He understood why you could be so reckless when it came to your own well-being, but that didn't make him any happier seeing you throw yourself at danger.

You shrugged, fiddling with your seatbelt. "At least you guys would still be able to get away and drive to Rome. Isn't that what's most important? And sure, I'd be stuck underground for a while, but I wouldn't be dead."

Giorno leaned away from the gun man, having finished healing him, "Mista, you should get some rest. (Y/N) and I can keep a look out for any cars that might be following us."

"Right..." Mista leaned his head onto the window and shut his eyes.

Once enough time had passed for the Giovanna to be sure that the gun man was sleeping, he asked his question. It had been gnawing at him ever since Risotto brought it up, "(Y/N), you aren't going to rejoin Passione under Diavolo, are you?"

Bruno looked at the Giovanna from the rearview mirror, angry, "How could you even ask her something like that, Giorno?! She's been a trusted member of our rebellion since the start!  Even with the La Squadra thing, she ended up allowing us to have more people to take down the boss. How could you possibly lose faith in her now of all times?"

Giorno bit his lower lip, "I... I know all of that. I know that I shouldn't be so worried about it. I just can't help it!" Giorno had hunched over in his seat, holding his head in his hands, "It's like these thoughts are eating me up from the inside! Just the idea that she might leave my side..."

"Giorno, I'm not going to rejoin Passione." You hoped to clear up his doubts, "Even if the boss revealed his identity to the world and begged me to join, I wouldn't even think about it for a second."

Giorno began to speak again, leaving you unsure if he had actually even heard you. "Earlier tonight, (Y/N) was talking with the leader of La Squadra. And I know that it's not like it was anything secretive or suspicious. But I was mad at him, furious even." Giorno gave a low, almost crazed, laugh that seemed out of place, "Can you imagine? They were only talking, yet I was as pissed off as if he had just killed my dog."

"Giorno..." Bruno's expression had turned serious. He had great respect for the Giovanna and would probably do anything he ordered without much of a second thought. But he didn't like the side of him that he was seeing now. "I think that perhaps you're obsessing over (Y/N) too much." Bruno found that dangerous. And while being a dangerous person was something basically mandatory to being a gangster, he couldn't allow such behavior in good conscience. He just hoped that it wasn't too bad. "But..." Bruno paused. "...you know that already, don't you?"

Giorno nodded slowly, his shoulders slumping, "Yes. I'm aware. I don't really want to keep thinking things like this. And I know I shouldn't. But I do. I thought being away from my father might help, but I think it's just gotten worse. I'm becoming the very thing that I hate." And Giorno still couldn't shake the part of him that said it was his fate to be with you. This constant pull that he had toward you. And if it truly was, then who was he to keep fighting against himself? Against fate?

"What about when it's other people on our team?" You wanted to get a better idea of Giorno's current state. "When Bucciarati talks to me, do you feel as angry as you were with Risotto?"
