Kitsune and Neko

Chapter 4

-Time skip 1 year

"You do not deserve to live. Die!" with a quick flash of lightning all the seven bandits were on the ground dead. On the other side of the forest, there were ten shadow clones finishing off the rest of the bandits. After the two were certain that there were no bandits left, they carefully approached the bandit's hide out, which was locked. With a quick seal they broke the lock and were inside the bandits' hideout.

"Kitsune, take the left and I'll take the right, if I find anything interesting, I'll seal it into my storage scroll"

"Hai! If you find any more hostages carry them to safety"

"Hn"

With a quick nod the two left to explore the hideout. After around 15 minutes the two were out of the hideout, with three hostages, but not before putting explosive tags all over the place. Once they were a safe distance from the hideout, it exploded. The masked duo was heading towards Kiri. They had just completed an A rank Mission for the Hidden Mist.

Around half a year ago the two has decided to rebuild Uzushio and sign peace treaties with all the great nations to form peace. But rebuilding a whole village was too much for them, so they decided to become allies of the as many nations as they could, this would mean that the villages will indirectly sign peace treaties with each other. Sasuke had come up with this idea, so far they had a peace treaty with the hidden hot water village and after the completion of this mission, and they will sign a treaty with the Mist.

Naruto was glad that they were finally starting to achieving peace. Another reason for this was that the two wanted all the information they could find about the Akatsuki and Orochimaru. As the Akatsuki were from different villages, signing the treaty with the villages meant that the two could get information about the past and the fighting style of the members, which would give them a slight advantage over the Akatsuki.

After travelling for about an hour and a half, they were at the entrance of the Mist.

"State your names and what business do you have in the Mist?" A buff Chunin asked sternly.

"Kitsune and Neko, returning from an A rank mission, we have a meeting with Lady Mizukage" replied Sasuke in his monotonous voice

Meanwhile Chojuro, a swordsman of the mist recognized them and took the two to the Mizukage, after that, he took the three skinny kids to the hospital. They looked like they hadn't eaten in days. After the discussion between Kitsune and the Mizukage, and Neko's brooding, they finally signed the treaty. Although the Mizukage was hesitant five months ago, because they had refused to show their faces but after the number of tough missions and the risks the duo had taken for the mist in the past five months, she slowly started to trust them.

After staying a night in the Mist, the two started their two day journey back home. Over the past year the two had grown pretty close, so close that now Naruto understood the meaning of almost all of the hnn's and grunts of the Uchiha. And as a duo they were formidable in battle. Unknown to the two, they had earned a page each in the Bingo book.

The two did not detect the chakra presence following. Two green eyes were staring at the duo. It suddenly jumped on Sasuke's shoulder and started licking his mask. The two had taken out their weapons but after seeing the cat, they put away their weapons. Naruto was a strong sensor but he did not detect a henge so he calmed down, though he was surprised at the amount of chakra the small cat had, but decided to let it go.

Throughout the whole journey, the cat refused to leave Sasuke's side. Whenever Naruto would try to pick it up it would hiss and scratch him and the cat's claws hurt. Once they returned home, Naruto asked Sasuke, what to do with the cat. Sasuke smirked and forced Naruto to take it in. Unknown to Naruto, he had a certain attachment to cats.
