-Flashback. (A few months after Chunin Exams)
It had been two months after the two had found Aiko and decided to take her in. She had slowly started to warm up to Naruto and Sasuke. She had started to form a somewhat brotherly bond with Naruto but had little to no interaction with the Uchiha. Something about Naruto had been bugging her lately and she decided to finally ask it today. She headed to the rooftop of their house as she knew that Naruto mostly spends his nights on the roof.
She saw Naruto looking at the stars with his hands behind his head. "Do you need something, Aiko-chan?" He said softly turning his head towards Aiko.
"I wanted to ask you something, Naruto." She said nervously.
"Sure, ask me anything." He said gesturing her to lie down next to him.
"Why do you hate Konoha's Civilian Council and Village elders?" She asks, cutting to the chase."You don't have to answer it, if you don't want to." She added quickly.
A sigh escapes Naruto's lips. He knew that he had to tell her one day."Okay, I'll tell you my whole story." He said getting up. Aiko nodded in agreement.
"Well, I think I will have to tell you everything from the beginning. Growing up, I was an orphan so stayed in the orphanage until I was four. At the age of four, I was kicked out of the orphanage and so the third Hokage gave me an apartment to live in. From the beginning I knew I was different because the whole village hated me. They sometimes beat the crap out of me and trashed my apartment. At that time I used to think it was something that I did when I was really young or something that my parents did, so I did everything I could to grab their attention and make them look at them differently. I started out by being really nice to people but that did not change their opinion about me so I started playing pranks on people. I finally found out why people hated me when I was six years old." Naruto focused his gaze on Aiko. "But before I tell you, promise me that you won't hate me. During the past two months, vie come to think of you as my little sister and I don't want lose you." He said, slightly worried about telling Aiko truth. Over the past two months he had done a pretty good job of hiding Kurama's chakra from her while training as he barely even needed to use it while on missions.
At first Aiko was confused as to why would she hate him, what had Naruto done that would make him think that she would hate him. She could the see the fear in the older boy's eyes and she nodded silently in agreement.
"When I was six, on my birthday, some of the villagers had gathered and had beaten me till I was almost dead. That day I discovered that I was hated because the nine tailed fox was sealed inside me. I hate the civilian council as they were the ones that revealed that about me. The third Hokage had made it an S-Rank secret but the Civilian council went behind his back and announced it to the whole village." He said looking down. Before he could realise he was tackled into a hug.
"You're an idiot if you think I would hate you for that." She said; her voice slightly muffled against Naruto's chest. She knew who jinchurikis were as she had met one of them named Han. She finally understood what that red chakra was that Naruto used to train with. Aiko knew that the nine tails was the most powerful tailed beast out there and was thankful to Naruto for keeping it at bay. "I would never hate you for something that wasn't your fault, Anija. And the Civilian council better watch out, I will make them pay for doing that to you."
Naruto was happy at first when Aiko accepted him for who he was and didn't hate him but after hearing her calling him 'Anija', he became even happier.
