you see, florence always tried to not cause much trouble, whether that be because of her character or just because causing trouble was far too much effort but nonetheless, this was out of character for her.
granted, her brother was just kidnapped and instead of letting her help, everyone had made the decision that she was unable to do anything to help for her.
florence didn't like that one bit.
so here she was, peddling as fast as she could to gabriel's house on a sparkly pink, dora the explorer bike that she snatched from some kid when she made it back to town.
as soon as she got to the house, she jumped off the bike and ran into the house just as emmett arrived outside.
"c'mon florence, please just come back to the house-"
"fuck off wannabe ass lumberjack!" she yelled as she stomped up the stairs towards her room to change into more suitable clothes.
emmett pouted and placed a hand over where his cold heart was, mumbling a quiet "hurtful." as he sat down infront of her door.
"no one wants you getting hurt squirt, you already got hurt at the battle and-"
"i honestly could not give less of a fuck. that's my brother out there, i don't need y'all infantilizing me just because i have a fucked up arm."
and with that, florence was already climbing out her window and made her way down the side of the house.
"dude, it's either you help me or you get out of my way." she groaned as emmett appeared next to her once she was on stable ground.
emmett stopped and weighed his options as the girl walked towards the garage and pulled it open, yanking a sheet off of a car.
he could either let her go on her own, sit and wonder what's happening until everyone gets back and get his ass beat for letting her go
or
he could go with her, help her and everyone else, and get his ass beat for helping her out.
"so, where we headed to first, squirt?" he asked as he got into the drivers seat of the civic florence had uncovered.
"how about to wherever my dunce brothers took your family, i know you know where emmett." florence said while handing him the keys.
the vampire sighed and handed the girl the aux cord.
"alright but hold on, we're about an hour behind them so we gotta make up for lost time."
and with that, the two sped off after the group that had left before them.
