"blossom, i swear to zeus, if you don't get your ass down here!" gabriel yelled up the stairs, as florence ran down them, red puffer jacket and black mini bookbag in hand as she laughed at his use of the nickname.

"buttercup, beauty takes time, it's not my fault!" she said as she hurriedly put her plants near the window before running out the door and towards the truck.

gabriel only scowled as he locked the door, the other two, who were waiting by the truck, laughed.

florence put on her jacket before chucking her bag into the truck, letting alister help her into said truck as everyone piled in.

"i didn't know we were bringing back the powerpuff girls nicknames, buttercup." rory teased as they all put on their seatbelts.

"well, jojo, our dear blossom was taking far too long and refused to reply to her name."

"actually, i was just refusing to reply to you but whatever floats your boat." florence giggled along with alister, earning a quick glare from gabriel in the rear view mirror before he focused his eyes back on the road.

as florence touched up her red lipstick and made sure her jordan 1's weren't creased from her hurrying around, rory turned around and took in her outfit.

"i still don't understand how versatile your style is but i'm living for it" he praised before turning back around.

florence only laughed as she leant on the window, letting alister lay across her lap as she watched the trees go by.

they'd only been there for a little over two weeks. in that time, she had become close friends with alice cullen, who she had met again one day when she and rory were shopping.

she and jasper had exchanged words here and there but nothing had really happened between them other than him giving her his hoodie that one time.

the hoodie she had yet to give back. in fact, it was sitting in the truck, underneath the seat, untouched.

something in her didn't want to give it back.

disregarding that, she and the boys had recently come to the conclusion that the cullens were definitely not human.

although they didn't have an extensive knowledge on mythical creatures besides the ones they were trained to battle, they had some ideas.
