florence thought moving to forks would give her a break from the supernatural and the unknown but being a demigod, she should've known there was no such thing as a break from anything.

florence laughed at a joke seth cracked as she glanced around the wedding.
everything seemed to be going smoothly and florence hoped it stayed that way.
she made eye contact with jasper as she looked around at everything happening and flashed him a small smile, receiving one back along with a small wink.
"so, how long do you guys plan on staying?" billy asked, snapping her back to the conversation.
"oh uhm, we're honestly not entirely sure. now that graduation has passed we're able to go anywhere." she said as alister came up next to her and grabbed her hand.
she gave him a little squeeze as he began a conversation with seth about anime while she talked to sue about random things ranging from clothes to how she deals with being the only girl.
"can we go take a walk? please?" alister whispered in her ear, his grip on her hand tightening a bit.
florence glanced at the boy who had been a tad too quiet and nodded before excusing herself and her brother, shooting seth, sue and billy a smile before pulling alister towards the forest.
"i'm sorry" he mumbled as she shook her head.
"no no, it's fine. you're more important than a wedding for a nosy vampire anyways." florence said, making alister chuckle as the two walked hand in hand through the cool forest.
"are we gonna stay here?" alister asked suddenly, letting go of her hand to walk along a log on the floor.
florence sighed as she crouched down near a patch of wild flowers.
"i'm not too sure, bub. things seem quiet here and it seems like no one from that god awful school was able to find us. we just have to be wary of the monsters, but we can manage that, we always have. plus, this is something to discuss with the other two." she said as she picked a few flowers.
all she got in response was a twig snap and silence.
"alister, stop overthinking, we'll figure it out, hun. we always have. now, look at these flowers! why don't you give them to ali-"
florence whipped around and was met with just the cold night air and the forest.
she snapped her head around, searching the trees for her brother.
"a-alister? dude, this isn't funny! c'mon we're gonna miss sending bella and edward off!" she exclaimed, turning around in circles.
she heard and saw nothing.
tears welled up in her eyes as a thought crossed her mind.
no, there's no way.
graduation passed.
her blood seemed to turn to ice in her veins as she heard a bunch of rapid steps coming her way.
"n-no! no! fuck, give him back! h-he doesn't deserve this! take me! do you hear me, assholes? give him back!" florence yelled, dropping the flowers she had since crushed in her tight grip.
she blinked and suddenly she felt a presence surrounding her.
she gasped and whipped all around, wolves surrounding her.
"florence? what's wrong?"
she turned as sam came out of the forest in a pair of jeans shorts.
florence shook her head and dropped to her knees, sobbing into her hands.
she had lost him.
it was her fault.
