Chapter eighteen

Yn was about to say but Rohan's mum interrupted "Sharma gayi hai. Islye shayad kuch keh nahi paa rahi". They fixed yn and Sameer's engagement to be held next week. I don't know why yn didn't said anything. After some time, I went to her room. She was sitting on bed. I went near her and said "Congratulations".

Yn's POV

I wiped my tears and turned towards Rii with a smile. He also faked a smile and went. I started speaking to myself, "I'm in a mess. Yaar, Sameer samajhta hai ki mai abhi bhi usse pyaar karti hoon. But mai usse ab pyaar nahi karti hoon. Lekin yeh baat mai use kaise samjhau. Maine half commitment kee hai aur ab mai kaise back off karlu? Riyaz se door nahi reh sakti hoon mai. Agar yeh engagement hogayi toh Rii ko bura lag jaayega aur agar maine manaa kardiya toh Sameer ka dil toot jaayega. Usne mere liye itna intezaar kiya aur mai usey betray nahi kar sakti hoon" and suddenly there was a knock at the door. I opened.
"May I come in madam" Sameer pretended.
"Chup chaap aa andar" I said smiling.
He sat on my bed. I also sat beside him.
"Finally ab hamari engagement ho rahi hai" he said in excitement.
I faked a smile and thought "Isko manaa nahi kar paungi. Itna khush hai yeh. Mera bestfriend reh chuka hai yaar toh obviously isko hurt nahi karna mujhe".
"Oyee. Kaha kho gayi. Mere baare mein soch rahi hai na" he again teased me.
"Tu ruk mai tere liye chai laati hoon" I said and stood up.
"Engagement ki sweet nahi khilayegi. Pehle engagement, phir shadi aur phir bache.." Sameer was about to say but I interrupted, "Aah..Araam se. Break laga apni gaadi ko".
I was going but Sameer held my wrist and pulled me towards him. We both fell on bed. Sameer moved my hair at the back of my ear.
"I'm sorry, shayad mai wrong time pe aagaya" Rii said holding the tray of tea. I got up with a jerk. I caressed my hairs and turned towards Rii. It was clearly visible on his face that he was hurt.
"No, it's okay" Sameer said. Rii kept the tray on the table and was about to go but Sameer said "Come, sit with us".
"It's your personal time. I don't wanna disturb" he replied and went.
After some time, Sameer left and I went to Rii's room.
He was reading a book.
"Rii, aap jaisa soch rahe hai waisa kuch nahi hai" I said but he didn't reply. I again continued "Rii please aap mujhse baat kariye, mai next time se careful rahungi. Aap jaisa kahenge mai waisa hee karungi but please aap naraaz mat hona"
"Yn, did I ask you for an explanation?" he asked
"But I want to explain" I shouted
"But why?" he again asked
"Kyu ki mai aapse pyaa..."
