Cassie needed to get her head straight and she knew remaining around others wouldn't help that. So, she spent two days off in the woods by herself. She went to a different area than the location where she and Aizen usually went to train and she let herself finally relax.

The sounds of the birds allowed her to think about nothing. Cassie listened to the sounds of nature around her, this eased the headache she usually got around this time. She opened her eyes and began to speak to herself.

"My main issue with this is might not even like me... or care about me! It's just my feelings that got put into him." She groaned, "it's not like I really like him anyways. I haven't had enough time to get to know him personally! He's just pretty!" She exclaimed, "I mean, I guess I get a familiar vibe from him too, but... can I really base romantic feelings off that?" She sat up and groaned, "I can't think about this anymore!" She got up and was met with a semi transparent flying creature. She sighed seeing it knowing this was her Zanpakuto, "Don't talk to me about this."

"I have to!" The Zanpakuto yelled. Cassie got up and kept walking, the creature kept flying around her, "you're the one who just had to hit him! Why would you attack like that with him there? This is dangerous, Cassie!"

"You think I don't know that? You realize I'm the one who controls you right?" She laughed.

"No, we work together." The Zanpakuto clarified.

"Sure, is that why you can't control me?" She fumed at Cassie, "come on, Quana, just relax. If you're stressed out, you can imagine the way I feel."

"You sure don't look like it."

Cassie faced her Zanpakuto. "And how should I be looking then?"

"It's just an expression! You shouldn't be looking like anything, you should be talking with Aizen. Tell him you're sorry for hitting him and maybe that'll fix your conscience and you'll be able to go back to normal!"

Cassie smiled, "I'm not normal right now?" Quana nodded, "or is it that you're hungry for Spiritual Pressure?" Cassie teased.

"I can't live without that stuff, so yes, I'd like to go back to absorbing people's pressure. Captain Aizen's especially, it's really nutritious since it tastes so much like yours!"

"You're so greedy... one of these days you're going to eat me dry."

Quana giggled. "Not if you go back to Captain Aizen already!"

Cassie smiled and nodded. "I know, I know. I'm still gonna think about it but... I think I know what I'm going to do."

"Good, now get to it!" Quana flew up into the air before dropping back down and returning to her Zanpakuto.

Cassie smiled at it and looked up to the sky, "alright... I guess here goes nothing."

...

Cassie quietly returned to the Seireitei during the night and the next day slipped out before anyone else, as she did the duties. All while avoiding Aizen as much as possible.

The captain had been concerned about Cassie's sudden avoidance of him, as he had other things to worry about and left her be. This didn't go unnoticed with others in Squad five as well as a few other captains. Unohana, however, was the first one to speak to Cassie about the strange change in behavior.

"Cassie?" She stopped and smiled upon seeing the captain. Cassie jogged over to her and stopped once she got to her, "do you mind if we speak?"

"Of course not!" Cassie said with a happy face.
