Being inside of the file room was quiet, almost as if nothing could disturb the stiff silence. Most of all, it fueled the ideas and curiosity the young soul reaper, Cassie Ann. She pulled out file after file in the hopes of finding something new to read about; her eyes scanned the papers and she found herself seeing the same things she had already read.

With a sigh, Cassie reached to grab something from the highest shelf when she heard someone walking to where she was. She pulled out the file, but it wound up hitting her on top of the head and she let out a small groan once it clattered onto the ground.

"Ow..."

The person began to get closer and she fought through the pain as she bowed. Whoever entered the record room, they were Captain level.

"I'm sorry, I'm almost finished in here!" She heard a chuckle which caused her to stand normally as she saw the soft expression of Sosuke Aizen, Captain of Squad five.

"You don't have to apologize to me. I knew you were in here, though I didn't mean to scare you." He explained calmly.

Cassie shook her head. "I'm just jittery... you don't have to apologize to me." He smiled. "But, are you here to find something? I can help if you need it."

"No, it's early so I thought to find you so we could train. I know you don't like to be seen by others when you train."

While Cassie listened to him, she stared intently at all his features. No matter how well she knew him, she didn't really know him. Something about this man always made her intrigued, but her thoughts halted when she saw his smile. Her mindless pondering faded into a warm calmness seeing his smile.

"I don't want to take you from any work you may have," she said avoiding his gaze.

"I wouldn't have come here if I was busy."

"Right..."

"Hm? What's with that expression?" His hand came up to rest on top of her head. "Do you not want to train?"

"No!" She shot upright causing Aizen's eyes to widen a bit. Cassie calmed down. "No, I'd love to. It's just... it sometimes feels like I don't deserve your help. Especially since I'm not in your Squad." Her voice trailed as she spoke.

Aizen chuckled. "I know you feel that way, but don't think of it like that. Think of it as training you would have received anyways." Cassie looked at him still feeling the weight of his hand on her head. "Alright?"

Slowly, and like always, she caved into him.

...

The sounds of Cassie's sword scraping against the sheath of Aizen's sword was loud as all the birds and other animals escaped the area. Cassie grunted and tried to follow up against the captain as best she could meanwhile Aizen was barely moving as he blocked her every move. She had yet to even touch him and this only made her attacks more fervent as she lunged widely at him.

Her desperation only allowed Aizen to find more openings. Just as her blade was falling to slice the air next to him, he tripped her causing her to fall face first in the grass right at his feet.

Looking down, Aizen spoke. "What would you have done if I was a Hollow? Or even just an enemy in general? You'd be dead the same moment you fell." Cassie's fist tightened. "Focus on your whole body, don't just use your arms."

She growled at his words and bounded to her feet, watching her hand, he saw her reach for her blade and it only manged to reach an inch from his face when she tried to strike him again. Easily, he moved out of the way and looked at Cassie. Her face was stained with a sinister grin.
