A Unexpected Meeting[ON HIATUS]

I walked out of the shop and sighed heavily. This was the tenth shop I visited, and I was still confused of what job I wanted.

I knew I couldn't take a human job because in a few months, my stomach will be swollen, and might lead to uncomfortable questions.

I stood before the eleventh shop. I slowly pushed the door opened. I walked in. The shop was empty expect a girl at the counter. She was cleaning the glasses and was facing away from me.

I cleared my throat and said,

" Excuse me..?"

She straightened and then turned and gave me a sweet smile and said,

" How can I help you sir?"

I said,

" Um...I am here for the job opening...are you the owner?"

She smiled, shook her head and said,

" No, I am just a employee. Please wait here, I'll get the owners."

She put down the glass she was polishing and went to fetch the owners.

I stood there and looked around the shop while waiting. It was a beautiful cafe. The entire cafe was decorated with plants giving it a calm and soothing look.

A few minutes later, I heard a voice saying,

" Sorry for making you wait--"

I looked up and froze. He froze at the same time.

It wasn't like I knew him or anything. But it was his scent that made me freeze.

He was a werewolf. A werewolf from a pack.

I panicked. I knew that I smelled like a rogue and most pack members hate rogues and kill them on sight.

I protectively put my arms around my tiny bump as I slowly backed away.

Then suddenly a voice came from behind the man.

" What's wrong why did you--"

A man walked out from behind him, wiping his hands in a white coloured towel. When his eyes fell on me he momentarily froze.

The first man, who was a alpha, growled as me baring his canines. I trembled and tried to step back but tripped and fell. The alpha man growled dangerously and was nearly about to attack me....

Suddenly the second man, who was a beta, slapped his arm and glared at the alpha. The alpha looked at him and whimpered.

The second man hissed at him angrily and said,

" You idiot! Smell him properly!!!"

The alpha man sniffed and then his eyes travelled to my stomach. He retraced his canines and looked at me guiltily.

" You idiot! He is a omega, a unmated pregnant omega. Plus his scent isn't even like a rogue's. It's a mixed scent! And you were already ready to attack him!?"

He scolded the alpha man angrily.

He turned towards me and gave me a soft smile. He extended his hand to me. But I whimpered and drew away from him. He turned and glared at the alpha man. He extended his hand to touch me. I felt my heartbeat picking up.

He touched my hand and helped me get up. Oddly, his touch did not feel disgusting or nauseating. It was oddly comforting.

After I got up, he smiled and said,

" You okay?"

I nodded,but my hands were still trembling.

He noticed that and took my hands in his. He smiled and said,

" Sorry for my stupid mate's behaviour earlier. It was really wrong of him to suddenly jump into a conclusion. I am Elvyn, and he is Ario. He is the beta of our pack, even though he is a alpha. You were here for the job opening right?"

I slowly nodded.

" You are hired!!!"

He happily said.
