Chapter 6:

I was running towards the exit when a pair of strong arms caught me and pulled me into another dressing room. I whipped my teary eyes and saw that it was Josh holding me and I felt safe with him so I began to uncontrollably sob into his chest as he carried me into a room and closed the door.

"Ssshhh. It's okay Jess."

As he stood there holding me and comforting me I started to stutter my feelings.

"H-how c-could he d-do that? I'm not a-a piece of m-meat."

"I know you're not. Harry..Harry isn't a commitment kind of guy. Wanna know how I got this black eye?"

When my sobs became a sniffle I looked up at him and looked at his eye then nodded.

"I was sticking up for you. It's crazy because I just met you but I've grown tired of seeing these girls be treated like nothing more than a booty call. I knew you were different. But he didn't appreciate me speaking my mind."

"Obviously.."

We both cracked a smile and he let me go. I dried my eyes then gave him a hug. I felt comfortable with Josh. He reminded me a lot of my older brother.

"Thank you Josh. But I'm going to get going."

"Are you sure? You can still stay for the show."

"And have Harry stare at me all night and possibly try to make another move on me? No thanks."

"Well let me get Frank to drive you back home."

Josh led me out of the dressing room and towards the exit. He walked me back to the same car that brought me here.

"Frank, make sure this lovely lady gets home safely."

He walked over to the back door and opened it for me.

"Take care Jessica."

He smiled and then closed the door. I sighed as Frank pulled out on to the road. I knew a guy like Harry was only after one thing. I should've seen it. Honestly, what pop star asks a random girl to a concert? One that wants to get laid...

*ONE WEEK LATER*

*BEEP. BEEP. BEEP.*

"Oh no!"

I yelled as I ran to my oven that was now puffing out smoke. I dozed off while waiting on my roast to cook. The smoke alarm woke me up along with the smell of burnt beef.

I opened the smoking stove and quickly took out the burnt roast. I shut off the oven and threw the roast in the sink and sprayed it with cold water in hopes to stop it from smoking. While I ran the water over the roast I went and turned off the smoke alarm.

"Sorry mom.."

I said to myself. I was trying to attempt my mothers famous oven braised roast but obviously failed. I got the smoke alarm to shut off and the oven and roast were no longer smoking.

I got over my roast failure and ordered a pizza. After I threw out the roast and sprayed down my house with febrezze, there was a knock at the door. I grabbed my wallet and walked towards the front door. I wasn't expecting anyone but the pizza guy when I opened the door but I was in for a surprise when the pizza man wasn't on the other side of the door. Instead a tall, curly haired, green eyed boy was standing there with regret and sorrow in his eyes.
