Ace has just finished taking a shower, today he intends to go to Water 7 Plaza where most of the dormitory residents shop for their daily needs. Having a second shift, Ace must be good at managing time if he wants to go somewhere. Usually Ace takes advantage of the time in the morning before his work hours start because it is impossible for him to leave after returning home. Apart from being home at eleven o'clock at night, the dormitory he occupied also had a ban on leaving the dorm area after eleven o'clock at night. Only those who will go to work on the night shift are allowed to leave.

Ace wear dark blue hoodie that he got from Sabo, combined with short black jeans. Ace didn't forget to take his wallet and the shopping list he made yesterday. Ace went to the kitchen to get his favorite boots before finally leaving his dorm.

Even though it was already ten o'clock in the morning only Ace had been active, Deuce who worked the night shift had just fallen asleep. Meanwhile his two roommates, Karma and Andre, are still lazing on their beds playing with their cellphones.

Water 7 Plaza is about ten minutes by foot, although not as big as other shopping centers Water 7 Plaza is quite complete. In addition, because of its location in an industrial area, Water 7 Plaza is never empty of visitors.

While walking Ace observed the scenery around him, it had been almost a year since the sight of factory buildings had become a regular thing for him. If he thought about it again, Ace wouldn't even think he could be here now.

In the past, he had just signed up for fun when Hack, one of Sabo's best friends, told him that Galley-La was recruiting new employees. He followed every process and was accepted as one of the new employees, at that time there were about a hundred people who passed along with him.

Before moving to Water 7, Ace lived with his brother in Goa City. Sabo is the son of his stepfather who married his mother when Ace was three years old. Since Sabo was about the same age as Ace, they quickly got along well with each other. His baby brother Luffy came to their family when Ace and Sabo were five years old, only their family is not the same as it used to be.

His stepfather left his mother to be with another woman, Ace really hated it when his mother was sad because of his stepfather's behavior. Even so he does not hate Sabo because for Ace, Sabo is Sabo and not his father. After all, their personalities are very different.

As the eldest brother, Ace helped his mother in taking care of his younger siblings, especially Luffy, who was still a baby at that time. Their situation was getting better as a few months passed, but Ace never thought that it was only the beginning.

When he was eight, his mother again found someone she liked, even she was blinded by her love so she obeyed all the words of the man. His mother left them and even sold the house they lived in. Ace could only stare when the new owner of the house came and chased them away. For the first time Ace hated his mother's actions.

Ace and Sabo are fighting together for their younger brother Luffy, they don't have time to feel down because they have to survive. Since then they have become distrustful of other people, if the parents who gave birth to them have the heart to throw them away, what about people who don't know them at all?

The three of them were out on the streets for a few days, doing small jobs because not many wanted to hire children. Sometimes they have to pickpocket to get money.
