Chapter 1 - The Boy Next To Me

My mum and I were walking down the aisle of the plane until she pointed out our seat number. She made my sit in the middle as somebody was already was sitting by the window.

I sat down and got comfy as we'd been carrying our luggage around all day as we are moving house all the way to Birmingham because my mum was offered a new job there.

The boy next to me turn his head and stuck his hand out for me to shake. He had brown curly hair and brown eyes and a cute face.

He smiled "Well hello nice to meet you, I'm Brad"

I awkwardly replied "You too, I'm Megan"

I didn't like meeting new people, I was very awkward so I didn't really talk much to him. SoI just put my headphones in and started to listen to my playlist. So he put his headphones and listened to his music. He must of thought I was being ignorant or something because he didn't look to impressed.

It was a really long journey and my phone died. I was not happy.

Brad then tried making a conversation with me but I wasn't making any effort at all. He had told me that he was on holiday visiting people and he was now on his way home to Birmingham.

As I wasn't making any effort taking to him he put his headphones in as he had a little bit of battery left and started singing loudly into a water bottle to make me jealous.

I thought to myself does he think he's in some sort of band or what?

After about 3 songs his battery died and I started laughing to myself.

As we were landed Brad took a deep breath in and out.

I asked him "uh... Brad you don't like landing do you??"

He gave a little nervous shake.

I did have a little bit of sympathy for him but I didn't show it.
