[Naruto]

I rushed upwards on the crooked cement pathway. 'Can't be late to work again!' I groaned, going as fast as my legs would allow me.

How could I be so stupid?! Pervy sage forgot to change the batteries in our alarm clock and now I might loose my job. I know that he would get scolded, but no matter how many times he was late Lady Tsunade would forgive him every time.

Lucky ass.. I groaned, slamming the door of my workplace open. Just as I entered Sakura beamed from behind the counter with a smirk.

"You're so lucky! You were barely here on time, one minute later and you might've been screwed!" She laughed hysterically at me, drenched and breathing intensely wince the pervy sage, ONCE again took the car.

"Oh shut it, you know boss would never fire me, I'm the best worker he has. Better than you sweetcheeks." Even though Naruto wasn't certain of those words he still let them slip.

"Oh, really? Whatever floats your boat, now get in here, not many people are going to come around today since its Saturday. You know, they prefer more classy meals for dates, but still boss wants the place spotless for next week's inspection." Sakura hummed out in my direction, hurrying me to put my cooking robe on.

Inspection? I can't belive that's already next Week! We only heard about it less than 3 months ago and now it's finally here. I mean in all honesty I was happy to get it over with, having it constantly bug me during school and at home was tiresome.

"Are you spacing out again, you idiot?!"

"No! Just trying to get ready for work, so can you stop shouting in my ear for goodness sake, I might go deaf."

Sakura rolled her eyes and got back to work, cleaning the knives and rAmen bowls. Ramen..

I shook the thoughts from my head and jogged over to her, helping her with with the dishes. It was nice, after sweating so much and all the running I did, washing dishes was relaxing.

Although I knew that we would be here for a while, even those dishes which weren't used would have to be clean. Can't afford loosing my job, again.

...

I groaned, leaning against the wall, listening to the clock and the small rain droplets outside. "Come on! Why can't I just go home now... I'm tired." Naruto's whining received a glare from Sakura, followed by a loud huff of disappointment.

"Its our jobs on the line idiot, so what if we're finished? Still have to work for the money~" She smirked at the reaction she got. Knowing how annoyed Naruto was when she told him something he obviously knew but whatever to avoid. God she was evil, but it was fun teasing the blonde.

"Oh come on grumpy, only a few more minutes and we'll be out of here." She paused, before her small lips curved into another piercing grin. "Well, that is if you don't get held in for extra time, considering how you're the best worked here." Her fist clenched, almost as if she was threatening to hit him..

Which she clearly was, still upset about the comment made earlier in the day. "I was just kidding! Everybody's equal and special here, you probably work harder than me-" He relieved a punch straight to the gut, he felt like he would've been sent flying into the atmosphere, only if it weren't for the room.

He groaned, "Okay! I'm sorry we all work hard.." He pouted, hating the grin that was on Sakura's face even more than the pain he was in. "You're evil.. No wonder you don't have a boyfriend."

"I- oh you want another one?" Naruto's eyes widened and he put his hands up, shaking his head so intensely it might've fallen off.

He begged for mercy at her feet, receiving a scoff in disbelief. "My god, you're like 4 times my size and you still beg for mercy? Good to know nothings changed from when we were kids." This sudden topic caused Naruto to stand up and frown. He knew how much Sakura hated talking about their childhood together but she still brought it up. This woman was truly and enigma.

"Yeah I guess so." Naruto smiled softly and nodded, hugging her tightly. "Hey you big idiot, it's time to go home." Despite saying this in such a harsh tone, the actions that she put out contradicted the irritation she had in her voice from the sudden affection.

"Alright, I'll see you on Monday Sakura, in school and at work of course." He let go of her suddenly and stuck his tongue out.

About ready to deliver another death blow, she glared at him. "See ya!" Naruto put all his work equipment away and skipped out, running down the sidewalk.

It was still raining, but at least now Naruto could walk without having to worry about griping over because he can't see. "So calming." He whispered to himself, the small rain droplets actually making him slow down and take in the surroundings he never really bothered to pay attention to previously.

"Its beautiful, how come I never noticed this before." Ah, yeas, because he was always rushing to work, either in a car or running, he never had time for that. Not to mention whenever he walked home he was rushing to finish his homework. Not today, he finished all his homework yesterday and he felt great about it, so he decided that today he should have a day off. No work for today and Sunday, he could enjoy himself.

Maybe he could even try to contact or find that strange raven haired looking boy at the back of almost every class he had. "Hmm.. Mysterious." He smirked, just thinking about the boy made him forget about the rain and how tired he actually was. He needed to find out who that was, and in all honesty he didn't care what type of research he would have to do to find him, or who he would have to contact.

He was going to find out who he is and finally befriend him.
