Your dad and the rest of the team returned safely two days after they left on their mission. The came home just in time for you to cook everyone a nice warm homemade dinner, along with dessert of course. That was your favorite thing to do after members of the team were gone, you loved surprising people with food. It was definitely your love language.

All the avengers, and you, had a nice family dinner and you couldn't help but thinking how much you appreciated all of them. They really were your family. Wanda assured you that you were a better cook than her mom ever was, and that meant a lot.

Your dad kept thinking about how grateful he was to have such a phenomenal daughter like you. You were so talented, kind, and pure-hearted. Sometimes he wondered how someone like you came from someone like him. He was worried, like horribly worried, about what was to come with Thor searching for the infinity stones, all he wanted was to keep you safe. You were the most important thing in the whole world to him. You had asked why Thor didn't come back with them from the mission, and your dad said he would explain to you later that night.

You and Peter were basically the only ones who didn't know the extent of what was to come. Even Bucky and Steve had been informed. Clint was at home with his family of course, but he was on call for when the Avengers needed him, which was bound to be soon. Rhodey was gone working with his friends at the pentagon to asses the galactic safety protocols.
Loki's whereabouts were unknown, which honestly made you upset; you missed the God.

Thor was gone, searching for the 6 infinity stones. The world didn't know it yet, but it was depending on him.

Bruce was gonna be leaving too, to join Rhodey at the pentagon and assist them. Wanda and Vision promised your dad they would stay here and protect New York if it came down to it, which it probably would. The rest of the team was undecided.

"Is it gonna be another fight?" you asked you dad. He had just finished explaining to you what was happening currently.

"...I don't know, pumpkin. I really don't. But the plan is to expect the worst. If it really comes down to it, you and Pepper can bunk in the basement until it's all over." he said, leaning back against the table in his lab.

That's exactly what happened when the aliens attacked New York; you, Pep, and Happy huddled in the safe room. You were a lot younger then, now you are able to understand the extent of it.

"Well I want to help in anyway I can." you told him.

"I don't know about that, this is all very dangerous sweetheart." your dad said, shutting you down.

"Dad i'm almost 20, and i'm a Stark for fuck's sake. I can at least help you and Bruce in the lab." you explained to him.

"Y/n I don't know..." he said unsure.

"If Peter is old enough to help, so am I." you weren't gonna give up on this.

He was quiet for a moment, examining your face. He knew you weren't gonna let this go.

"Alright fine. But everything you do has to be run by me. Understand?" he said sternly.

"Of course." you quickly agreed.

You gave him a quick hug and kiss on the cheek, and skipped out of his lab. You were going to find Peter and tell him the good news, but a beefy 6 foot something man stopped you before you got far.
