>Damian's POV<

Sitting at the breakfast bar, myself Eric and Crystal of course with her teddy on her lap, we all slowly eat our ice cream. Crystal's eyes are alight with joy over such a simple thing. She has her legs folded under her small body and she has that teddy bear nestled on her lap she just looks too cute. I smile over at her and gives me a small smile back. Over her head I catch Eric looking down at her with both worry and wonder in his eyes. It's natural for him to be craving attention from her..everyone will bee when they hear of her..I don't think she will be ready for that any time soon.but I'll give her all the time she needs.

A sudden noise startles me from my little reverie and Crystal jumps in her seat and drops her spoon. Eric is up and shielding her with his body. A voice comes to me from the hall and another loud bang that has Crystal jumping. Looking around Eric I see James walking in and grumbling to himself. Without even thinking I growl and launch myself at him I will NOT have him this close to Crystal! Not after what he did to her! Pinning him to the wall I snarl in his face

"what are you doing here James!"

He simple looks up at me and I hear someone clear their throat behind me. Looking back irritated that I've been interrupted I see Eric with a very frightened Crystal clutching onto him and whimpering into his side. Shit.

I drop James quickly "James. My office.now." I whisper. he nods and quickly scurries away. I slowly make my way toward Crystal and Eric. Her little hands are fisted in his shirt clutching him like a lifeline and she is whimpering and crying softly her heart pounding so hard...ooh what have I done? It breaks my heart.

I kneel down next to her and she shuffles closer to Eric..hiding slightly behind him. I frown and he gently squeezed her shoulder and shrugs at me lost for what to say.

I sigh and look at her "hey..i'm sorry angel..I just don't want him to ever be near you...i'm sorry I lost it...forgive me?" She glances up at me and sniffles but quickly looks away again.. Eric squeezes her shoulder again and looks at me nodding his head towards that bear of hers.

I grin and take the bear setting it in my lap as I sit just a few feet groom her on the ground. "well mister teddy could you ever forgive me for frightening our dear Crystal?" I say glancing up at her to see her looking at me from the corner of her eye and her tears stoping.

"you see teddy I just couldn't stand it if she were harmed again..and now I have frightened her..I didn't mean to could you forgive me for my rash actions?" I say and Eric looks from me to Crystal "what do you think Crystal?" He whispers.she slowly nods her head and I give her a small smile holding the bear out to her she timidly comes forward and takes it while I stand. I smile down at her.."why don't you and Eric go back to your room for now angel..maybe you can tease him into playing a game with you? I will be up there in a few minutes ok?" I smile down at her. She nods and takes us all by surprise by hugging me around the waist..i.grin and gingerly hug hey back placing a feather light kiss on the top of her head.."go on angel I'll be there shortly"

With that she nods and takes Eric's hands and he leads her to her room...now to deal with James...
