The wind brushed through Hoshiumi's hair as he ran, making rustling sounds and doing a messy hairstyle on him. The waves from the sea could be heard, but he didn't mind it. He was in a hurry, and he didn't know what happened before that. It seemed like he forgot about something—everything—before he knew that he was late. It was like a dream, but Hoshiumi knew he was semi-conscious at that time. He didn't mind it, and if only he could relax in the summer by himself, he would have done it.

But somehow he wanted to do something else. Something different.

Hoshiumi was a resident in the countryside, and apparently, his house was near the beach. He liked waking up absorbing the breeze coming from the sea, watching the waves come to the shore and wash away the few little shells on the sand. It was the peace every person would like—would ever hope to experience. So he decided to become a temporary tourist guide. Fifty percent was because he wanted to earn profit while on vacation and fifty percent to relax at the same time. He also wanted to showcase the beauty of his home, and how it's absolutely different and more mesmerizing than the city.

Hoshiumi's feather-like hair pulled him backward, the winds whirled in his front, slapping his face. He ran straight ahead with no idea where he was about to go, or who his client was. All he knew was that he was late for their meeting, agreeing that he would tour him around the town first.

He was more than late, and he could only hope that his client waited for him at their rendezvous location. He tried to remember where it was, shrugging the fact that it was sundown and almost impossible to catch up.

Hoshiumi had never been so stupid how he should've called or texted for his client. Luckily, he brought his phone and almost forgot to bring it again. Hoshiumi wasn't a very organized person, and it surely didn't help when he hesitated about calling the right number, naming the client "Tourist No.1" on his phone.

He contacted the client but he didn't answer. Hoshiumi ran across the road, attempting to contact the client again, and was vaguely aware of his surroundings. Before he could even turn and see, a bright light flashed on his face, blinding his eyes as it became brighter—realizing that it was a car coming straight for him at the center of the road that was almost empty. All Hoshiumi could hear was the car's deafening horn with a figure of the driver showing panic on his face as he yelled, "Watch out!"

The male barely drifted the car to the side, almost crashing to Hoshiumi. That would be a big deal if the accident happened. The driver nearly drove the car at the seaside and a few meters away he could dive in the sea. He sighed in relief, checking on the person he almost crashed into pieces.

Hoshiumi was still stunned by the road, looking at the direction the car came from, not even budging a single limb from his body. He didn't even blink, didn't even breathe. It was as though his soul left his body, and only came back to his senses when he stumbled upon the ground, making a tiny bruise on his arms. He was pushed on the sidewalk—by the person that almost killed him.

"Hey, hey! Are you okay?" The male in front of him asked, and with his deep voice, Hoshiumi winced. He screamed when the person held his shoulders. It was just a gentle nudge, but it made his body tremble, recalling the occurrence earlier as his eyes were still blurred by the lights. Hoshiumi thought he would go blind by that.

"Bro, calm down. Hey, calm down! I'm not going to hurt you." The person said, squatting to face Hoshiumi.

"You just did!" Hoshiumi protested, squinting his eyes to focus on the guy in front of him.

"Well, I almost did. But hey, it wasn't my fault," He said. When Hoshiumi's vision cleared, a guy with light brown wavy hair, the same as his eyes, and fairly tall stood in front of him. Hoshiumi looked up to him—even when the guy was almost on the ground.

Hoshiumi scowled. "So you're blaming it on me? The road was empty! You should have seen me crossing the damn pedestrian lane!"

The brown-haired downturned his eyes to the ground. "Maybe it was my fault." He said. "But you didn't even move when you saw me." He added, mumbling the words Hoshiumi couldn't hear.

"What are you mumbling about?" Hoshiumi's high-pitched tone made the guy look at him again. Instead, the guy flashed a small smile on the edge of his lips, making Hoshiumi feel like he's a VIP at a Movie Premiere where he could enjoy the view and appreciate the beauty of it. Hoshiumi would honestly admit, the male was extremely good-looking with little to no effort in looking that way. It made his heart do the fluttery thing Hoshiumi would never expect he would feel for the guy who almost made him fly across the road, and he's somehow annoyed about it.

"Sorry." The brown-haired guy said, and Hoshiumi couldn't determine whether he wa's sincere about it or not because of his voice carrying softness in it. But he convinced himself it was just the guy's way of deceiving him so he could let go of this incident easily.

"Hey, are you really fine? I can take you to the hospital to see if there's any sign of injuries or fractures." He suggested, making Hoshiumi's assumptions on him fly away, proving him wrong.

"I'm fine. You don't need to do that." Hoshiumi said as he tried to stand but wobbled on his feet, trembling as he nearly fell until the guy caught him in his arms.

"You don't look like it." He said. Hoshiumi hated the fact that he had to rely on him as he tried to stand again, forcing his feet not to collapse again, and reluctantly obeyed. "I'm fine. It's just...yeah maybe I'm a little dizzy and my body is not doing the way I wanted it to be, but it's nothing."

"It's because you nearly got hit again. Good thing I got you out of the road when you couldn't move. Though just barely. We were lucky." His smile grew wider, telling Hoshiumi that he can still live for a hundred years, but he felt like his lifespan was shortened because of this death and life situation.

Hoshiumi frowned. "What, so am I supposed to say thank you when you've done the same thing?"

"No, but just don't space out in the middle of the road." His smile faded and bowed "I'm sorry again."

Hoshiumi stared at the guy bowing, and they were the same height not until he looked at Hoshiumi again, realizing that he was taller than he thought. "Sure, I guess."

Hoshiumi rubbed the dust from his clothes, sighing when he remembered that he had something to go to, and gave up on coming when the sun set into the night. At least he should call his client once again to apologize and meet with him tomorrow.

"I suppose I have to go." The guy said and didn't even stay for a little while. "Are you sure you're okay?" He turned to Hoshiumi for confirmation in case.

Hoshiumi glanced at him and nodded. "Yeah."

Hoshiumi traced the male as he reached for his car with his eyes, and looked into his phone again, tapping the dial button of his client. He puts the phone in his ears as it rings, still looking at the guy taking his phone from the car. He stared at it for a second before he put it in his ear, and the other side of the line answered Hoshiumi's call.

Hoshiumi never would've thought about it happening. He never thought about the coincidence, and he never expected it as he said "Hello?" to the other, witnessing the brown-haired's eyes widen and meet with Hoshiumi's seagull eyes. Then he realized...

The guy who almost crashed into him was his client.
