Waking up early was always a habit. It's like I couldn't find myself in bed more than what my body needed. After that, I would get up and start getting ready for the day. Today was not an exception.

After doing my morning routine, taking a quick and needed shower, and grabbing some nice clothes, I left my room heading down to the kitchen where I found the empty bottles of beers hanging around the kitchen island. Dad must have had a rough night last night considering the amount of alcohol he must have consumed.

I didn't see him yesterday. After I came back from school I locked myself in my bedroom and did all of my homework. Having nothing else to do, I closed my eyes and drifted to sleep early so that I would have enough energy for today, a very special day

I sighed and started throwing away the empty bottles. The alcohol smell radiates from every little corner of this room making me wanna puke. I closed my eyes, took a deep breath, and finished my work cleaning the kitchen.

After everything was in their place, I make myself some breakfast, a bowl of milk with cereal. Thankfully, dad remembers that as a living creature I need to feed to keep myself alive so he buys some of the basics in order to not faint from lack of food.

I ate it all, not knowing when will be the next time I'll have the house all by myself so I could properly eat, and grab my school bag before locking and leaving the house. It's a fifteen minutes walk from my house to school so I don't need a ride unless it's raining outside.

Today was a sunny day so I took a deep breath, feeling the cold air refreshing my lungs, and started my journey to school. November was around the corner and the weather had already started getting colder day by day.

School was always an easy topic for me. I can't understand why everyone hates school. I don't, I actually love it. Everything is so scheduled. We just have to follow the rules and before we knew it we are graduates and ready for college. I love to read and that helps me with most of my school work. I don't think of homework as an obligation and that's the key to success. But I am not a nerd either. You don't have to be a nerd to have good grades. That's what teenagers don't understand.

So like every other day, I walk into school with a smile on my face and went to find my friends.

Lisa, Leo and I are best friends since we were kids. We used to live in the same neighborhood before Lisa and Leo moved. Now it's just me and Mr. Gabriel with his deaf dog.

We call ourselves the throuble L, you know, trouble and three... yea, it was a stupid name we found a long long time ago. Lisa and Leo know everything about me, mostly everything, and I know everything about them. We love and care for each other.

I made my way towards my locker which happens to be next to theirs. They were leaning against them waiting for me as usual. I threw my bag inside it and took my books for the first hour before locking it.

"Good morning to you too, sunshine." Leo says, flushing me his famous smirk, which makes every girl fall on their knees. Leo is a really handsome boy, with his tall frame, blonde curly hair, green eyes and a body to die for, is like he came from heaven to spread the hell on earth. But he was never my type. Maybe because we grow up together as friends I can't see him any other way, he's like a brother to me.

"Good morning guys, how is your day?"
We started walking across the hall, making our way to the classroom.

"As usual, boring. Are you excited for today?" Lisa asks before we greet our teacher who waits outside the door and sit down on our desks at the front of the class.

"I am both nervous and excited as fuck. It's not like I haven't done this before but I am nervous to see the new studio and the teachers. I just hope everything will be fine." I said with a sigh and focused my attention on the teacher who was in front of us now ready to start their lesson.

Today is a special day for me. After eleven years of ballet dancing in a studio near my neighborhood, the owner decided that he wasn't making enough money so he closed it, leaving us all on line to find a new studio on our own. Some of us made groups and chose their own place, while some others -including me- searched by themselves.
