Sapnap couldn't help but feel even more lonely the more he talked to others that were not Dream, you'd think that having more social interactions with those who don't shun you would be the best thing for Sapnap right now, but he just couldn't stop thinking of how things were back at home.
Pushing those recurring thoughts to the back of his mind he leaned onto Karl's shoulder and spoke what he had been meaning to say all day. "Thank you so much Karl, really I can't thank you enough. Everything you've done so far is beyond helpful" he said eyes glued to the TV.Karl slightly laughed, turning his head to look better at Sapnap and said "Dude I think it's great that you are doing this!! If someone did this for me i'd marry them on spot hahaha", Sapnap laughed at that, looking down at his newly painted nails (that Karl insisted on giving him), and sighed, "Yeah heh, yeah I guess so".
Karl took a deep breath looking back up at the screen and breathed out what had been bothering him since, well Sapnap arrived. "Anything the matter?" shocked at the sudden question Sapnap automatically shut off any of his sad emotions as if he was programmed to do so, "Oh, no it's nothing really, ugh jeez that sounds like there is something wrong, but I promise there isn't" Sapnap was trying too hard, he knew he'd been caught, "Yeah okay sure Sap, we may have only known each other for a short time but I can see straight through that facade of yours. Come on whats wrong." Karl was a lot of thing but giving up was not one of those traits.
He now felt cornered, but in a good way? He felt safe and that he could speak his mind so he decided to hell with it and let out what had been happening. But he still slightly hesitated.
"You haven't been streaming or on any socials for that matter, heck i had to text you on three apps to get a response from you a few days ago, I've been keeping up with twitter recently and your fans miss you, even miss you just being in others streams. This isn't like you Sappy"
"You're right you're right, you see, part of the reason I came here a bit sooner than planned was, well, Dream hasn't been all too there for me recently...a-and I can't blame him, he is constantly working but I mean anyone in my situation would feel a bit lonely no?" he finally got that off his chest and almost instantly felt relieved. Prepared to say even more, if not a little too much if Karl pushed enough.
"Well that doesn't sound like dream at all, didn't you guys use to have a rule where every weekend no matter what work you had, the both of you would go on a date?" yep, Karl doesn't forget these thing, Sapnap was even surprised he himself had forgotten that rule, he guessed its just been so long that he really has been more alone than he originally thought.
And as the wheels were turning in his own head Karl could tell that Sapnap was indeed not cluing into Dream's antics as much as he should be.
Breaking the short silence Karl continued "It might just be me, and tell me if i'm wrong but, it sounds like Dream is being a bad boyfriend-" Karl then sucked in a breath as he saw tears start in the other's eyes "-I mean I could be wrong Sap, but...what is he doing that's making you so sure he really is ignoring you"
Sapnap did not hesitate to again let out his feeling, now feeling more safe than ever. "For starters, I go in to check on him everyday, or used to because now it's too much to handle, and he brushes me off nonchalantly, and is blatantly rude to me, and all I ever do is support him unconditionally at my expense!", "Oh, well that's plain-" "And don't get me started on the fact we haven't had a meal together in weeks! Karl, that's not normal." Karl didn't think there was more but clearly Sapnap was not planning on stopping anytime soon, so he just sat and listened, because he thinks that's what Sapnap needed most right now, just a listening ear.
"The only time he speaks to me is on text saying he's going to be late, or that he's leaving to go somewhere, or a blunt 'goodnight' with no nickname or anything" Sapnap was now standing up and pacing around the basement floor, Karl was sure if they weren't careful they might wake Chris up.
