in which the world is ending and they dance for one last time.

they were teens when they fell in love. everything seemed perfect and like every other couple, they had dreams too. they always thought they'd get old together, get married, have babies and stay with each other until they're grey and old.

but they never thought all their fantasies which always seemed possible would be destroyed in a matter of some time.

now they stood in taehyung's home, surrounded by nothing but disturbing sounds of destruction.

"i love you" taehyung whispered, his voice laced with melancholy as he intertwined their hands and looked at his lover with his eyes welling up with tears as he held his love in his arms promising to never let him go.

"i love you, so much that words will never be enough" jeongguk could feel his eyes welling up.

they weren't ready to let go just yet.

"petal, wanna dance with me, one last time?" jeongguk murmured against taehyung's lips to which the sniffling male nodded before kissing him. the kiss was so meaningful, they could feel their hearts leaping out of their chests.

detaching his lips from taehyung, he got up to get his phone, the sound of thunder storms and the lighting striking the each making them realise they didn't have much time together.

Turn out the light
Turn off the TV
And turn on that song
That made you not leave me
Come take my hand
May I have this next dance?

jeongguk walked towards taehyung as the music began, he extended his hand asking his lover for a dance, who without hesitation slipped his hand into jeongguk's, tears still falling down his cheeks.

the lyrics of the song portrayed how both the males felt towards each other.
taehyung rested his slender hands on jeongguk's shoulder before looking the man in his eyes just to see him whisper the words of the song. taehyung saw the tears in jeongguk's eyes making him press a kiss on his lips.

It's like nothing's changed
It's like nothing else matters

and to them, nothing else mattered when they were in each other's arms, minutes away from being parted.

The world disappears

taehyung sang together with the music, his mouth near jeongguk's ear, so close that jeongguk could feel taehyung's warm breath hitting his ears.

suddenly a rumble of thunder was heard making taehyung flinch. jeongguk held taehyung closer, so close, his intentions clearly showing he didn't want to leave his love.

"i'm right here darling, focus on the music. i love you" jeongguk whispered in taehyung's ear before pecking his cheek and closing his cocoa brown eyes.

"i love you, angel, so much" taehyung rested his head on jeongguk's shoulder as soft cries left his mouth, his eyes shut.

And when our song ends
We'll start it again

unfortunately, they couldn't.

jeongguk felt taehyung slip away from his hold even though they had promised each other they'd never let go. he could hear his cries and without stopping himself, jeongguk cried to, tears staining his cheeks before darkness took over him.

the world perished right in front of their eyes but they had no regrets because it all happened when they were holding each other.
