taehyung's mother has been trying to convince him to get an influenza shot as recommended by the doctor.

the boy did not like vaccines, the thought of a needle puncturing his skin was a big no to him. but his mother managed to drag his stubborn ass to the clinic and now they were sitting in the waiting area where taehyung clearly couldn't see anyone as old as him.

"but mom i'm seventeen and which seventeen year old takes flu shot" taehyung whined to which his mom replied with a shut up and as mama's boy he zipped his mouth as a small pout of disapproval formed on his lips.

"kim taehyung" the doctor called the brunette making his mother push him to stand up. he looked at his mother putting on his best puppy eyes and pout to which the female just shook her head and pushed him inside the room.

taehyung was now sitting on the patient's bed while the doctor who had introduced himself as kim seokjin was preparing the injection.

taehyung watched as namjoon drew air into the syringe and then inserted it into the vial and withdrew the medication. honestly, the brunette was scared.

removing the bubbles namjoon took out an ethanol swab, rubbing it on taehyung's deltoid muscle as he gave the discouraged boy a little dimpled smile making him relax.

its just a flu shot taehyung, you can do it, he convinced himself while namjoon did his job. the needle pierced through his flesh before he injected it.

"all done, go out at sit for a while there can be after effects. " namjoon smiled at taehyung who finally let out a deep breath, nodding and smiling before holding the cotton pad on his upper arm with the other hand.

"well that wasn't as bad as i thought it would be" taehyung mumbled to himself. he didn't see his mom outside so he decided on waiting for her.

after a while his upper arm stung a little and he felt dizzy so he took a seat shaking a little.

"these must be the after effects" the brunette recalled the doctor's words, his vision getting a little blurry as he felt a little weak.

he saw a young raven head sitting beside him who was looking back at him smiling softly. taehyung returned the smile despite his dizzy state.

"you look tired" the ravenette looked at taehyung who was trying to support himself in his weak state. the brunette just hummed lightly in response.

"put your head on my shoulder, you need it" the ravenette offered his shoulder to the brunette out of kindness to which taehyung confirmed the offer twice.

"mhm, its okay just rest a little" taehyung grabbed jeongguk lightly by his arm, hooking his arm under it, pulling the ravenette closer.

he looked at him from under his lashed making the dark haired boy nod in approval before he rested his head on jeongguk's shoulder.

he snuggled a little closer into his shoulder, making the ravenette chuckle.

taehyung took a little sniff, loving the ravenette's mild perfume and his warmth which surrounded him.

"thanks, i'm taehyung"

"nice to meet you taehyung, I'm jeongguk" the dark haired male ever so softly said, taehyung's soft hair and lazy eyes making him smile.

taehyung complimened jeongguk's voice, the latter's warmth lulling him to sleep.

he was on the verge of closing his eyes fully shut before taehyung's mother came.

"i went out to buy snac- oh" his mother apologised to jeongguk on taehyung's behalf before grabbing the half asleep brunette and dragging him to the car.

she seated the boy in, shaking her head at her son's innocent self with a smile on her face.

taehyung had a small smile on his face as he thought about the ravenette who offered him his shoulder.

getting the flu shot wasn't a bad idea was taehyung's last thought before falling asleep.

meanwhile, in the waiting room jeongguk was smiling the whole time and the soft brunette's sleepy state clouded his mind. maybe agreeing to a medical checkup wasn't a bad idea.
