in which jeongguk reads taehyung's last letter he wrote to him.

it's been one week since taehyung left jeongguk, forever, but here Jeongguk was still bawling his eyes out thinking how different things would be if taehyung's heart transplant was successful.

taehyung gave jeongguk a letter for him to read, in case he couldn't make it, but Jeongguk still hadn't found the courage the open his husband's last letter.

It's time i read it, he wanted me to. jeongguk thought as he opened the drawer, wiping his tears messily with one hand and picking up the nicely folded letter with the other.

his hands fumbled while opening the letter as tears welled up in his beautiful but dull doe eyes again.

To my lovely husband,

Hey bunny, by the time you open this, i probably won't be by your side anymore and trust me I've never felt so bad about it.

I'm writing this letter to thank you for everything.

I remember when we first met, you were the popular guy and i was well, just me. If miss. lee hadn't paired us up for the history project that day, we wouldn't have come so far and i will forever be grateful to her for making me your project partner. I hope you know i have a smile on my face right now.

I still remember when i told you for the first time about my heart condition, you were so devastated but still hell bent on loving me and i will forever thank you and love you for giving me everything and more than i could ever ask for.

I remember when you asked me out for the first time. You were so shy, i remember your cheeks all red while waiting for me to say yes. Thank you for giving me the perfect first date i never deserved.

I remember those dates turning into us spending all out time together.

I remember how you cried when i said yes to your marriage proposal. I was so happy, it was like God was finally giving me all the things I've ever wished for. From sneaking out to meet to being husbands, it was an amazing life journey with you.

I remember the first time you made love to me, how you told me i deserve everything, i love you more than my you can ever imagine baby.

That's when jeongguk broke down, his knees buckled as he fell on the floor, tears spilling like waterfall from his brown eyes. He missed taehyung, so much. but he continued to read the letter his tears had stained, making the ink spread into a beautiful blue.

Even though i couldn't make it, i hope you know i love you. I always have, i always will. You gave me all of you and i couldn't be happier.

I still can't believe you chose to marry me, knowing i will not be there with you, physically, you never gave up on me. on our love and i will always love you for that.

I love you gguk, but that doesn't mean i want to hold you back. Find someone new, fall in love with someone who'll fall for you and give them all the love they deserve and you do too. I always want to see you happy after all the happiness you've given me, love so let me go and live your life with someone who'll be there with you forever. And if anyone hurts you, you know I'll not leave them ;)

And if we're destined to be together, let's meet again, let's fall in love again and stay together forever. but unfortunately its not this life.this life wasn't meant to be ours so maybe the next one, I'll be ready for you so brace yourself.

jeongguk cried and cried, tears cascading down his cheeks pushing him towards exhaustion.

i love you tae. I'll be happy, but not with someone else. you're the only one for me. I am yours forever. I love you tae. Forever and always.

with these thoughts darkness took over him, his mind going blank as he fell asleep with the letter clutched in his fists, held on his heart, his cheeks stained with tears and his heart with taehyung's memories.
