"I never thought he would betray us into this......"
"But My Majesty, are you sure we will be returning to your birthplace?"
A middle aged man asked, wearing a black long sleeves with dark black pants and a white shirt in the inside.
"It's almost 5 decades that I haven't seen it. I wished that I would return to that place peacefully, but I never thought I would visit it with bad news."
The king stood up from his golden colored throne.
"Send them signals. It won't matter if we don't say anything, for as long as they prepare themselves for our landing, that would be more than enough."
The man wearing a butler's clothes turned his back, and walked straight through the door, leaving his king alone on his own.
"And one more thing, how's my daughter?"
The man stopped and looked at his king with a passionate voice for answering.
"She's fine, my majesty. Although it seems like she is suffering a little bit from depression. Learning that her favorite uncle would defect us and join the 'Insigma', the same person who she grew up with and told her everything she knew about Earth; that would be quite a shock for anyone."
The king sat, his face looking more worried as each second passes.
"But why would my brother.... join the 'Insigma'.... He himself saw how deadly and dangerous they are. And what's more, he didn't follow the Law's rules, and disclosed Earth's location."
"That remains a mystery, my majesty. Rumors said that he was manipulated and was forced to submit."
"Let's just hope that's the case. Besides, how much time do we have left before they reach Earth?"
"Judging by the Insigma's speed, they would catch up and land there in 15 hours."
"How far are we from our re-entry to Earth?"
"At this rate, we would reach there in about 10 hours."
"Go full throttle."
"My majesty?"
"We must reach Earth as soon as we can. We should tell them as many information as we can. And share our technology of course."
"Roger that, my majesty."
"They are our only hope, if they refuse to cooperate, humanity will be finished."
The king closed his eyes, the butler moved out to do what he had been told.
PART 2:
"Princess, the king has summoned you to appear at his room tonight."
A girl wearing a white, glowing dress is sitting on a light pink colored bed.
"Okay."
"Princess, are you fine? Are you sick? Do you feel anything weird?"
The maid, roughly in the same age as the princess, rushed to her.
"Yes, I'm alright, Celine. Thanks for worrying about me."
Celine sat beside the princess.
"And didn't I tell you to call me by name if we we alone?"
Celine gave a little shrug of embarrassment.
"Yes, Prince--- I mean Irelia."
Irelia Eve, the princess of the second CC mothership, Inspire.
"So Celine, are you excited to see the place humanity originated from?"
"Wait, are we going back to the Earth?"
Irelia asked in a shocked voice.
"Yes, I heard that from the crew in the control room. They were talking about how it looks like now, since we only have the images of it about a decade ago."
"Oh, I see."
Irelia bowed down her head and faced her feet.
"You don't seem to be excited, Irelia..."
Celine's worry is expressed by the tone of her voice.
"I am...... I just can't..... accept..... that...... uncle...... joined them......"
Irelia is starting to cry, covering her face with her gentle hands.
Celine hugged Irelia sideways and let her go on with her feeling of anguish.
"Everything will be okay, Irelia. I'm sure everything has reasons on why they happened."
*****A few hours later*****
"So how are you, my beautiful princess?"
The king asked.
"I'm okay, father. Thanks."
"I have something to tell you."
"Is it about uncle?"
The king sighed over the question.
"No. Did you know that we are going back to Earth?"
"Yes, I heard it from Celine."
"Oh."
"Is there anything you want to tell me on the way, father?"
"Not now that you already know it."
Irelia smiled gently, as if nothing happened.
"I wanted to see that sweet smile again. You certainly remind me of your mother."
The king smiled back to Irelia and stood from his chair, slowly walking away from the dinner table.
"And one more thing, I'll be looking for a suitable bodyguard for you once we reach Earth."
The king's way of saying the statement seemed serious.
"But father, I'm fine with Celine being with me."
Irelia argued.
The king looked back at his daughter.
"We can't guarantee that the inhabitants of Earth aren't hostile to us. And Celine might be trained with martial arts, but she is a girl too."
"Are you saying that a girl can't do anything?"
Irelia stood up without the sending any animosity .
"I didn't say my words that way, all I'm saying is that girls have a shorter range in terms of physical combat. Strength, speed, stamina, sudden decision making, and the things that are required for combat. I'm not saying that man are stronger, but as a matter of fact, fighting and the use of our physical body is one of the things we are only good at."
"But where do you plan on getting those people from?"
The king smiled.
"I looked for people in this ship capable of becoming your personal bodyguard but I can't find any. So I'll ask the head of Earth's military to search for one."
