"Captain Kyle, how's the greeting units?"
A man wearing an army uniform is standing proudly with his Captain badge hanging on his left breast, two silver-colored bars with another two little bars that connects them inbetween located near the edges.
The young man saluted.
"Yes Colonel! Although we still need more time for organizing small forces in case of an emergency."
"Although they are humans, we will never know when they will turn against us and bare their teeth on our flesh."
A few moments of silence passes as the two stared at the other military personnel to prepare for the landing.
"By the way Colonel, how is the Quantum Shift research going?"
The colonel stared into Kyle's eyes.
"As of now, we aren't really sure what it can't do. But we do need some test subjects for tuning. Do you wish to volunteer, as the new captain?"
Kyle smiled, it seemed like he always wanted to test new technologies.
"If you will allow me, sir."
The Colonel smiled back, facing the people that are working.
"Kyle, can you give me a favor?"
Kyle quickly turned his gaze from the working men and looked into him.
"What is it, sir?"
"If the ship turns out to be a trap to throw us into disarray, I want you to infiltrate it and gather as many information as you can. And sabotage their engines if necessary."
"What if it's harmless, sir?"
The Colonel sighed, he seemed to be worrying about something.
"I'm just saying this just in case. It wouldn't be shocking if they are being manipulated, right?"
Kyle answered while looking at the ground.
"According to the information that I have heard, there's only 1 ship returning......."
"That's true, I ordered my men to check the radars again and again but it looks like there's only one going home tonight."
Kyle looked up.
"It would be fine, Colonel. I did not become a captain at a young age because of nothing."
The colonel responded with a cheerful tone.
"Haha! Oh well, if I didn't pick you up, you're supposed to be just a young man rallying the streets fighting your whole life as a terrorist."
"That might be true sir, but I can say that the education and training you sent gave me the idea that you will find something uncommon within me."
"It's good to know you aren't that ignorant on what people offer you."
"My pleasure, Sir."
Kyle winked at the Lieutenant followed with a smirk, indicating his reply to be sarcastic. The two stared at each other, more like a war is happening in between the gazes.
Another man came up.
"Sir, the CC mothership Inspire is about to reach the Solar System. ETA in 15 minutes, and another ETA for their re-entry on Earth in 2 minutes after, in a total of 17 minutes."
The two broke their competition and Kyle walked away with eager humming.
"Shut up, kid."
The colonel yelled at Kyle.
"Now, prepare for laser transmission. I'll have to talk to them while they are on their way here."
The man saluted.
"Affirmative sir!"
The man ran towards the center of the base camp.
The camp is located in the old Vancouver, BC, Canada; near the shore, there are a lot of camping tents set up for military personnel.
The colonel looked upon the setting sun, the orange tinted color covering his old face.
"I just hope everything is going to be fine. I have a bad feeling about this, but why don't I feel anything malicious near the landing site?"
The landing site is decided by the Planetarian Military, so that if something happened, the emergency procedures and counter attacks would go on smoothly.
Part 2:
"How much longer?"
The king asked the mothership's pilot.
"Approximately 2 minutes, my majesty."
"Earth is still isn't in sight but we are reaching that planet in a few minutes. Technology really moves forward faster the more modern things are."
(Meaning more advanced technology will be discovered using the discovery of an advance technology.)Looking at a big screen that is full of colorful dots, which are stars floating around in the black abyss.
"My majesty, the leader of Earth's military wants to speak to you."
The king revealed a wide smile on his face.
"Oh? Is that so? Put him on the line."
The person who relayed the message pressed a button that created an old man's voice.
"This is the head of the CC mothership Inspire. May I gladly ask what do you wish to talk about?"
The speakers produced a hum, sounded like the person in the call said 'hmmm.'
Then the man answered.
"We will allow you to land, but on these coordinates. If you show one little wrong move, I might not stop myself from setting your beautiful ship ablaze."
The pilot received a file containing the coordinates of the landing site.
"My majesty, it seems like they are sending us into the shore near Pacific Rim National Park Reserve. Coordinates are ---"
The king interrupted the pilot.
"That information is enough."
He now talked to the person on call.
"Is that everything you needed to say?"
"As of now, yes."
"Alright then, so if we do indeed make one suspicious move, can we exchange greetings?"
The man in the speaker laughed.
"Hahaha! Let's see..... I'll go with that. Although we are receiving technological updates from you people that stopped about a decade ago, we created things that didn't come from you space people. Although let us hope we don't fall into that kind of greetings."
"And that's it for the call, am I right?"
"Positive. Then, see you here, King."
The call ended.
"*sigh*"
"Sir, are we really going to fight them?"
"He is just bluffing."
The cockpit personnel sighed in relief.
"But he sounds serious."
The king ignored his protest and said in a low voice.
"Prepare the ship for docking."
The screen's content that used to show the stars forming endless lines across the room is now showing a circle compromised of blue and green components.
The circle, is a planet; called Earth, or the Blue Planet.
