Swallowing the pork Izuku continued to talk. " Yeah, thanks! So what do you think?... Is my life as... Not-A-Villain good enough for you to possibly... stop being a... villain? Even... when you go back... to your world?" He slowly said, trying to emphasize each word and also to be careful of his wording.

Deku looked at him from his shoulder, then continued to make himself some tea he got from the drawers. " Did All Might really take back what he said on the roof?"

" Yup! He said I could be a hero!" Izuku answered confidently, and Deku hummed in response before seeping his tea to check its citrus flavor as if saying, ' I see.'

" Izuku." He called.

" Yes?" and he replied. Deku stopped stirring and faced him. " Are you certain that he took back what he said that a quirkless kid can't become a hero?"

Izuku tilted his head at the question. " Yes. I'm sure.."

" Then why did he gave you a quirk?"

"... What?" Izuku looked at him, eyes wide. While Deku started to pace around him.

" The question was if a quirkless person can become a hero. Which he answered with a No and to be realistic. But then you said that he took that back, but how could that be when he offered you a quirk after?"

" I-.." Izuku looked down. I never thought about that... I-... It's just... All Might told me that one thing I always wanted to hear and... And I-

A hand on his shoulder brought him out of his thoughts. " Poor you, Izuku..." Deku said, smiling sadly at his hero self. " You were just dying to hear those words that... " He leaned down to his ear and whispered. "It's been used to manipulate you."

Izuku abruptly stood up and pushed Deku's hand away at that. " No. No, It's not!" He denied. Deku looked at him with bored eyes, then closed it, gently shaking his head. He opened them again, showing pity written all over his face.

He fixed his posture before speaking. " I understand... " He said, then took Izuku's finished plate and walked unto the sink. " Can you do the dishes? I cooked after all." He smiled. It took a minute for Izuku to reply.

" S-sure.." he complied, walking over and opening the faucet to wet the dishes. " Thanks." Walking away and over to the door, he stopped as his hand took the handle.

" I wonder..." He looked at Izuku through his shoulder, and Izuku turned to face him. " If you took that quirk because you also think quirkless people can't become a hero." Izuku froze.

" Hmm, well! I'll be in the living room. " Deku said, leaving Izuku thinking.
