A Facade

Chapter 4

During class, Hinata couldn't focus on anything, his mind always seemed to take him back to the attempted kiss he shared with Kageyama. He was thinking about what would've happened if the bell didn't ring, if they would have taken it further. "HINATA!" The teacher exclaimed. "Are you feeling sick, you seem very red". Shoyo was in fact red, but not because of sickness. "Uh-um I'm fine" He replied, giving his world famous smile. He looked down in embarrassment because he was caught, although the teacher didn't know he was blushing to the thought of Kageyama.

Practice~
Hinata was dreading practice. He remembered how he rightfully so, took out his anger on his teammates by storming out. The thought of it made him cringe 'was I maybe over reacting? Should I just tell them' the ginger thought. As he entered the hall, his teammates ran towards him all apologising. "SHOYOO IM SORRY FOR BEING IGNORANT" Tanaka and Noya cried "Hinata, we're all sorry for not taking your feelings seriously, please forgive us" Sugawara said while slightly bowing. Hinata was shocked, how did they know the reason he was sad, he then looked at Kageyama who smiled back at him.  'Kageyama must have told them' the shorter thought. "No need to be so formal it's kind of scary" Hinata laughed. "it's okay, I'm okay don't worry about it, you didn't know!" Daichi patted his back making Hinata flinch again but nobody noticed. "OSU! Let's continue to train" The captain yelled.

After training for a while, they were given a 10 minute break in which Hinata stayed outside, alone. He heard footsteps approaching him and looked to see Kageyama walking towards him. "Yo", the taller male said. "I noticed you flinch earlier when Daichi tapped you. 'Oh, so someone did notice' Shoyo thought. "Oh don't worry about it" He replied, giving a fake smile. "I can tell that's fake, I know you" Tobio said sternly. "Remember what I told you before, you can tell me anything okay? I'll listen" he said while ruffling the gingers hair. "Thanks Kageyama..... You know you're the only person I can trust, I'll tell u when I'm ready" Shoyo responded.

Was he really gonna say anything? Maybe. It was true that he could only trust Kageyama but it felt as if he would never be ready to say anything. He would hate to be a burden. Kageyama noticed Hinata deep in thought and tapped his shoulder to get his attention. He grabbed his chin softly and pecked his cheek. "That was for yesterday, anyways break is over, let's go" The Raven head boy said while smirking and slightly blushing. "KAGEYAMA- I Uh, okay" Hinata was at a loss for words. He wasn't expecting Kageyama to kiss him, even though it was a small peck. His face was completely red as he re-entered the hall, receiving worrying looks from the others. "Do you feel sick Hinata" Asahi asked. "No!" Hinata said, giving his real smile now. The second time today he was blushing because of Kageyama. Oh how he enjoyed this warm feeling. What was this warm feeling though?

Kageyama's POV:
'SHIT I really kissed Hinata, well pecked him. What was I thinking, does he hate me? I'm over reacting, What if he d- "Do you feel sick Hinata" "No!" I think Hinata is blushing because of... me? Wait this is quite reassuring. I felt the blood ride to my cheeks, now I was blushing, thank god nobody noticed. I don't know why I kissed him. I'm lying, I know. It's because I like him. And I think he likes me?

Back to nobody's POV:
Time skip to after training

Hinata and Kageyama were both walking home in an awkward-ish silence because of what happened before hand. "I uh-, sorry for kissing you earlier, I was just caught in the moment and i-" "KAGEYAMA! It's okay, I liked it, I like you. SHIT WAI" "You like me?" The Raven head said a bit stunned. "Of course I do bakayama! I told you, I only trust you, I feel like I can rely on you for anything. "I feel the same way Hinata"

Hinata smiled brightly and held hands with Kageyama as they continued to walk down to the area where they part. "Bye shrimpy" Tobio said as he smiled and waved. As The taller male walked further and further away, a burst of energy flew through the ginger. 'I need to tell him again' Hinata thought. He ran after Tobio and gave him a hug from behind which startled the taller.

"Oi- Hinata what are you-" "I like you Kageyama, just wanted to remind you." The ginger said. Kageyama turned to face him and he was crimson red. "I like you too Hinata" Kageyama said. He leaned over to him and kissed him, finally. Although it was short, it was filled with love and passion. "Shit, I'm gonna be late! GOODBYE KAGEYAMA KUN" Hinata shouted as he ran home. "TEXT ME WHEN YOU GET HOME" Kageyama yelled because of the distance between them. "OKAY!!" The shorter replied. Kageyama turned around and was filled with happiness knowing that his feelings were reciprocated.

"SHIT IM GONNA B LATE" Hinata internally screamed. He quickly opened the door to see he was 5 minutes late. "YOU BITCH, you're late" his father yelled. He was drenched in the smell of beer and tobacco and was in a bad mood. "Fuck" Hinata whispered before the front door was slammed and locked by his 'father'.
