It was the weekend before the start of senior year and tonight McKay was throwing an end of summer party. It was all anyone had talked about for the whole summer and the words dispersing from her friends mouths' made Jas feel slightly sick. She had never been to one. Obviously.
Usually she would stay home and hang out with Anna her best friend but ever since she had become more popular, making friends with Maddy and Cassie her predicament had changed.
"You're such a bore Jas." BB stipulated lifting her head up, a trail of smoke exiting her esophagus. "It's just a party." She pried inhaling another puff of smoke.
For the past half hour the girls had been getting ready for the party and trying to encourage Jas not to back out like she always did.
She hadn't known Maddie and Cassie for long but since she had they'd brought her out to things she'd never even thought she'd try. The ones she wasn't normally apart of.
"Yeah, her first party." Maddy rolled her eyes still transfixed on her makeup. Jas breathed feeling slightly restless over this subject.
"That's if she comes." Kat joked and Maddy glared at her. She was not helping. "Sorry I just meant-" The timid girl shrunk under the girls eyes looking back down at her phone, deciding to keep quiet.
"It's just not really my scene. I don't really like parties." Jas mumbled. She was curled up on the floor, her back against Maddy's bed, feet clutched to her chest bore-ally.
Jas was more of a shy than sociable type of person and she preferred her own company more than other peoples.
That wasn't to say she disliked hanging out with her new friends but sometimes she felt all a bit too overwhelmed by their domineering and extroverted presences.
Maddy swung around a makeup brush still entwined in her thimble fingers, "Bitch name one party you've been to?" She jutted out her hip impatiently as the brunette looked up from beneath her head of hair speechless. "Exactly now am I gonna have to drag you there myself or are you gonna quit bitching and enjoy yourself for once?" Maddy muttered, grinning as she turned back around finishing her blush.
"I'll just weigh you guys down. I don't wanna be a burden." Jas mumbled afraid of what Maddy might do. The room was still silently quiet as she tightly shut her lips.
"You're seriously unbelievable. Right," The girl walked over grabbing the girls tanned. "Get up. Now!" Maddy stifled gripping her arms and leaning back as she pulled her up off the floor.
"When's the last time you actually kissed someone Jazzy?" BB asked from the conjoined bathroom laughing at the conversation she was listening too.
Jas shrunk. Well... no one. The silence deafened the room and everyone's eyes widened. Did she say that out loud?
