Willow and her father held Boscha in their arms until her tears had subsided. Needless to say, that had taken quite a bit of time. She still wasn't calm. Her breathing was rugged. She had begun mumbling words that none of the Parks quite understood.

She was currently sitting on the couch; Willow was seated next to her, gently rubbing circles on her back. Both of Willow's fathers were in the kitchen, talking. They weren't sure what to do with the three-eyed halfling. They had tried to get her mumbling to stop. They attempted desperately to calm her down, but she wasn't calming down. She was having what seemed to be a mental breakdown.

The girl seemed afraid... More afraid than anyone had ever been of her, lost... Lost in a maze of her own thoughts, broken... Broken like an abandoned porcelain doll.

They were worried. They didn't know if there was anything they could do for this poor girl.

She was born a monster, perceived as a monster, and it broke her.

They saw her as nothing more than a bully, but what else could one expect from a young girl put in this situation? For them to be angels?

They didn't like what she did to their daughter, but they can't stand sitting around now, letting her suffer. She never wanted to hurt anyone; however, no one even gave her a chance to show, she was no monster...

Suddenly, the mumbling coming from the couch stopped. Wearily, the two men looked into the living room.

Willow seemed tense, nervous due to the sudden silence.

"Boscha?" The plant witch cautiously speaks.

She doesn't respond.

The two men come in from the kitchen.

Carlos places his hand gently on the girl's shoulder then lightly shakes her. "Hey."

Heat begins to slowly radiate off her horns.

Carlos removes his hand and steps back. Gilbert draws a spell circle. He didn't want to harm the child, but he would if the demon tried to harm his family.

Slowly, Boscha rose from the couch. She turned around and looked into Gilbert's eyes. Her eyes seemed dull, void of all emotions.

Her eyes lower to the spell circle. She says something, but again, no one can understand the words she spoke.

What happened next, no one was expecting.

Boscha began to trace spell circle. Scared for his and his family's safety, Gilbert  released his spell just as the halfling finished hers.

There was a bright flash as the young witch's spell when off, blinding all of them. There was a loud crash as she was hit by an abomination hand and sent across the living room.

She had casted a harmless spell. For what reason had she casted it? They didn't know.

Gilbert was worried as he knew that he had harmed the young halfling. Once he got his vision back he looked to where the half-breed had been thrown to.

He saw her holding the wall, blood trickling down the side of her head. Those once dull eyes held a look of fear as they struggled to remain open.

He went to approach her, but she turned and looked at the door. She attempted to reach out for the handle, to open the door, to escape... But when she reached for the door, she fell forward.

She was unconscious...

Gilbert panicked slightly, turning to his husband. "I didn't know her spell wa-" "it's alright." Carlos told him as he hurried over to the unconscious halfling.

"You were just protecting us, it's hard to tell what kind of spell someone is trying to cast." He stated as he made it to the witchlings side.

He examined the injury on the side of the girls head.

"Willow, go get the medical box from the bathroom please."

The young witch didn't respond as she hurried to go get the first aid kit.

She came back a few moments later with the first aid box. She handed the container to her father.

Her light-skinned dad opened the box. He worked carefully but quickly to clean the wound on the girl's head. Once he finished, he covered the injury.

He then noticed a bit of blood seeping through the girl's clothes. Concerned, he lifted the girls shirt. He saw the massive gash on her side. He looked at his daughter, who looked off ashamed.

"I... I made her upset..." Willow admitted. "She ran off into the woods, and she... She ran into a demon... I hadn't meant to! I swear!" Tears began to brim in her eyes.

"It's alright Pumpkin. We're going to make sure she gets treated." Carlos looks over at his husband, who was already standing with his staff.

"I'll get her to the Healing Ward."

They got Boscha safety on the staff. She was seated in front of Gilbert. He had one hand on the staff, and the other wrapped around the young halfling.

"I'll get her there safely." He assured his family before taking off.
