Your heart was pounding out of your chest. You swallowed hard before stepping out of the car with Bonny. She drove the two of you to a club. A freaking club. You had never been to a club in your life so you didn't know how to feel. You would feel way more comfortable if it was just the two of you playing Uno at your house.
You passed by a mirror and were quick to do a double take. You looked different, in a good way you guess. You were wearing a somewhat tight outfit with much more makeup than you'd prefer, which of course was Bonny's idea. You were wearing your contacts as well. You could still tell it was you but it was definitely not what you'd choose to wear on a normal day.
Excited as she was, Bonny linked an arm around yours and dragged you into the club. You both walk inside after showing your IDs to the security out front, you take a long look around the big place. There were lounge chairs everywhere and towards the middle was a dance floor full of people dancing dirty with each other. Here and there you spotted couples making out and drinking.
'Well, it certainly is like the books I've read'
The lights were bright and the music was loud. It was your first time being at a club so you didn't really know what to expect besides all the books you've read.
"So now what happens?" you had to shout a little so your friend could hear you.
She smiled back and said, "Now you just have fun!"
Well, for you, it certainly wasn't 'fun.' You were currently sitting at a bar, a glass of orange juice in hand. Your finger traced the outside rim of it. You could see in the distance your friend dancing with some random guy, whom both seemed to be a little tipsy. You cringed a little but chuckled to yourself.
You were thinking to yourself, debating on whether you should leave or stay.
"Beer," said a man to the bartender as his hand tapped the table. He let out a long and tired sigh as he took a seat at the bar. Your eyes casually skim your side to see a man sitting a seat away as he takes out his wallet to pay. The two of you make eye contact at the same time.
His eyes squint as he looks you up and down. A somewhat confused yet playful look plastered on his face. "Well well well," he started. "If it isn't the book thief," he chuckled out the last part. "Funny seeing you here."
You rolled your eyes and turned your attention back to your drink. "Well I was forced to come. And like I said, I didn't steal anything."
"Yeah yeah, whatever you say," rolling his eyes. The bartender slid him his drink making him turn his attention to yours. "Is that...juice?" he asked, arching an eyebrow.
"Yes, it is. I prefer to have full control over my body," you explained.
"Lame," he mumbled under his breath but loud enough for you to hear. You ignored his comment and continued to sip your drink.
You were contemplating on if you should speak, try to hold another conversation. After a few moments you did. "I never got to ask, what's your name?"
The man side glanced you before fully turning his head towards you. "Now now, I don't go around giving my name to just anyone," the man said making you frown a little.
"Lame," you reply, mocking him. The man caught on to what you did and smirked, not expecting that reply. After taking a few more shots, the man had got up and left the bar area. You continued to sip your juice, while killing time.
Only moments later, a random guy, who is very obviously drunk, makes his way to the bar. He parks himself in the seat next to you, asking the bartender for a shot of Hennessy. The guy looked drunken to the core already so you didn't understand why on earth he would continue to drink.
The guy glances at you and bites his lips, looking hungrily at you. You tried to ignore the drunkie, but you couldn't when he suddenly wrapped an arm around you waist. You jumped at the sudden interaction, pushing the drunk man off of you.
The guy looked mad but before he could start any form of conversation, you quickly left the bar area. You wanted to go home. This night was already a disaster and you just wanted to go lay down on your comfy bed.
꧁꧂☺︎︎꧁꧂
'Home sweet home,' you thought as you entered you apartment. A loud yawn escapes your mouth and your arms stretch out behind your head.
You were tired. After searching around the club for nearly an hour, you finally found Bonny passed out drunk in one of the lounge areas. You managed to get her to the car and drove her home. Since it was her car and not yours, you had to leave it at her house and walk from her house to yours. In conclusion, you just wanted to sleep.
'What time is it?' you questioned yourself. You open you purse and fetched for your phone, but after some time of digging through your purse you couldn't find it.
'Did I leave it in Bonny's car?' You thought for a moment. 'No, I don't even remember bringing it to the car which means it must still be at the club.'
You facepalm yourself and groan. You knew there was no point of going back there to look for it. It would most likely be stolen by now. Plus, you didn't want to have to go back there again.
"Great," you sarcastically say to yourself before heading to bed. "Just great."
