Third Person Narration
"NOO!"
At the end of the day, even the most beautiful flower dies.
That beautiful, hard working flower, was stepped on by everyone.
At first it remained strong, but at the end of the day, there would be a time when there's no other option but to give up.
As you screamed out, you came to your conscience and realized you were in your room.
The beige walls giving a sense of warmth and comfort, but your eyes water as if you just woke through the coldest of dreams.
You turned your focus to your bedside table, the letter was still there as always.
The last letter you received from your brother.
Ever since you stepped back to the lands of Korea, you haven't once left your apartment room.
Of course you still get some sun from your balcony, and you still work-out everyday on your exercise bike, lift some weight, and do the usual push-ups and pull-ups.
You would order your groceries from a convenient app.
Your name's Kim Y/N, an 18 year old that just entered college.
Inside the bedside tables drawer, you remember the letter you got from the University you applied for right before landing your feet here.
You sent them your essay and all the acquirements that needs to be filled from online applications.
They said that they would still accept you, even though you're a month late to this semester. Claiming that they understand your situation, and that they'll wait for your response.
Even kind enough to send you the lectures and assignments online, allowing you to keep up with your course.
The letter only reached here around 2 days ago.
You were planning on sending your reply to them today.
After a month of just settling in your apartment, you decided that it was finally time to at the very least try and leave your regrets behind.
A 3 bedroom apartment, housing only a single person. There was a guest room, but you don't accept guests. Your apartment was decorated and furnished by your father personally, and there was nothing you'd complain about from it.
Riing.. riing...
You turned around to see the caller ID, quickly deciding not to pick up after seeing it.
It was your mother, and even though you were trying to leave your regrets.. you will never forgive her.
Your parents divorced when you were only 12, leaving you to your father's custody while your brother was at your mothers.
Before the divorce, your father was always super busy. So you thought that being under his custody would be lonely.
But your father changed for the better. Obviously he was still super busy, but he always comes home as early as he could, he prepares delicious lunch boxes for you every morning, he takes you out for walks at the weekends, he even takes you for vacations every month.
When he heard your decision to come back to Korea, he was slightly struck at first. But he understood your choice, promising to support every single step you take here.
He sends more than enough allowance every week, he sends you selfies of what he's doing at work (which you find particularly cute), and calls you every night, well.. technically at the afternoon due to your different time zones.
