Everything was black. All I could hear was the faint screeching of tires against the pavement. At each turn, my body lightly swayed. I was tied down, tight. Something was lodged in my mouth, a tea towel maybe?
Okay. Focus. I thought to myself I'm pretty sure I've been kidnapped. Make slow subtle movements so they don't know you're awake. Let's start with facts. I could feel my hands begin to shake. I know that I'm blindfolded, There's a towel in my mouth that feels like it's tied around the back of my neck. My hands. My hands are tied behind my back with what feels like rope- like the ones my dad used for his work. I'm 90% sure I'm in the backseat of a car. There might be someone beside me but there's no way to know for sure.
Just don't move. Don't let them know you are awake or they might hurt you.
"Hurry up Schmidt! We need to get back before she wakes up"
Good, they don't know I'm awake.
"I am going as fast as I can Zola. We will arrive shortly" The two men each had thick accents, I'm assuming Sokovian. No. German.
Alright. The two sitting in the front of the car are named Schmidt and Zola.
Okay. I'm going to be okay.
The car took a sudden and sharp turn, my body swayed, not wanting to fall I stiffened my body. The next thing I knew, I was hit over the head with a blunt object.
I was woken up by a short balding man with circular glasses pulling off my blindfold. I winced at the sudden bright florescent lights. He leaned down, putting his hands on his knees, looked me in my eyes and grinned."Yes, she will do splendidly" His strong accent was starting to sound creepy. His eyes danced between me and someone else who I couldn't see. I presume this man is Zola. I recognize his voice and I think it's the one I heard from the man in the passenger seat of the car.
The mystery man stepped out of the shadows and leaned in front of me the same way Zola did.
"You're right Dr. Zola. She will do splendidly" so Zola was a last name. Good to know. "Alright alright get this stuff off of her" as soon as he finished his sentence 3 men came at a run towards me from behind.
One took off my gag, while another removed the ropes from my hands and feet. They helped me stand up, a firm grasp on my arms. They took off my shirt so all I had on now was a sports bra and a pair of leggings. They brought me over to a strange contraption and sat me down on this bench sort of thing with a backrest while Schmidt sat and watched. The people who were holding my arms put a mouthguard in my mouth then backed away quickly. Dr. Zola was over to the left of the first man sitting at a control panel.
The foreign machine started whirring behind me. I tried to turn to see what was happening but I couldn't move my head. What looked like a piece of metal with some screws in it came towards my face and was now mere inches away from my head. The whirring got louder and louder until sparks flew from each screw. I gripped the armrests as tight as I could, as the metal placed itself on my head and it sent a wave of electricity through my brain.
What the fuck did they just do to me?
I tried to think of my friends and family but I didn't remember them. I couldn't remember them. In fact, I don't remember anything about my life before I was in this room.
Did I even have a life before this room?
