Part 14

When Alexis parked her car at the Ferrari garage, she knew she was starting her last day at the factory, since Wednesday she flew to Netherland. Alexis knew she will miss this place over the year, she loved all the moments and all the persons she met. Before leaving her car she took some only time to think about all the things that happened this last four months so far, what a journey. Alexis was lost in her mind when someone hit her car window, with the sound Alexis jumped. She lowered her car window to face Alessandro, she was surprised to see him this early.

"Hey." Alexis softly said

"Hey, a bit nostalgic?" Alexis nodded "You will come back!" Alessandro smiled at her

"Yeah, but I will have to wait." Alexis said with sadness

"We will se you before, come to Silverstone! I'm sure I can get some free pass for you." Alessandro wanted to cheer up her friend

"Mattia already offers me some, but thank you for the attention." Alexis shyly said, Alessandro putted his arm on the sill of the car window.

"I will be sure that you found this car for next year." Alexis smiled wilder

"I hope so, if not I go back to home." Alessandro smiled

"Furthermore, you are on the chat so you will some game night!" Alessandro winked

"Sure, I'm waiting for beat your ass again." They both started laughing

"Alright, come on don't want to be late on your last day." Alessandro opened Alexis' car door and she got out.

Once they reached the hall, the secretary told Alexis that Mattia was waiting for her in his office. She knew it was for the contract and all the stuffs but the was still a bit stressed. The appointment lasted the whole morning, they discussed about the salary, the holiday, the rules. One caught Alexis' attention:

"You can't date someone from another team."

This was kinda obvious for her, but when she thought twice about it Lando got on her mind. What about him? What about them? She will miss the British boy.

"Is everything ok for you Alexis?" Mattia asked

"Seems perfect!" Alexis smiled at him 

"Great, when I can I send you some pass for Silverstone. Take these as thank you gifts, for all the work you did for us, the team and the drivers!"

"Thank you so much, I can't wait to see you again. I'm safe to say that it was the best summer of my life!" Alexis was really enthusiasm.

Since it was lunch time, Alexis got into the cafeteria she didn't want it to be her last day at the factory. It seemed that at the end everyone truly appreciated her, for the work she had done but also the person she was.

"I will miss your smiled" Giulia said, while hugging her

"I will miss you so much, I can't wait to se you again. I loved this internship; you guys you were amazing. I learnt so much things from you." Alexis started crying "I won't never forget you!" Alessandro hugged her

"We will never forget you, I will never forget you blondi!" Alessandro mumbled to her ear

"Alexis, we have a present for you from the design department." Giulia said, Alexis left Alessandro's arms "Since you are it's mother, we wanted to dive you this." Giulia shew a piece of the ALG20221 rear wing "This is your rear wing, so please take it" Alexis took the piece with caution

"Now, when I will watch a Grand Prix, I can tell that this is my rear wing!" Alexis said, everyone started smiling

Actually, she didn't work the afternoon, she just shared some precious time with some employees, and her friends. She savoured these moments, for later cherished them. On her way back to her apartment Alexis cried, it was the last time at the factory, last time taking this road, last time using this car. Once she reached her apartment, she packed all her luggage since the will directly flew back to the UK after Netherlands. It was hard, hard to believe this was the end of the first adventure at Ferrari but she was looking forward next year.
