Part 24

Lando pushed the door of a tiny restaurant, no one was in; Alexis was surprised seeing this empty place, only one table was set for two. Alexis looked at Lando, who seemed happy with the atmosphere and the room; a man arrived from a door at the back of the place.

"Good evening Mr. Norris, glad to have you with us tonight. Please take your seat!" The man shown the only set table, Lando hold Alexis' chair and sat in front of her; the man gave them the menu "I will come for your order later."

"Thank you." Lando said to the waiter, Alexis was more and more confused and this made Lando smiled "I wanted you to come over here since it is my favourite restaurant here, it's well known for all the fishes." Lando knew Alexis loved fishes

"Lando, you hate fish." Alexis rolled her eyes "You should have chosen something you like." Lando chuckled

"The meat is also great; this is not my first time here. Each year I come for a meal, generally with Jon or Carlos but this time I wanted to come with you." Lando smiled "Since you are a sea girl, I needed to bring you here."

"Well to be honest I'm more a fish girl, I'm kinda scared of the sea. Not like a phobia, but I feel unsecure in the sea; with everything that could be around me." Lando looked concerned

"But you wanted to go for a swim yesterday, I really can't understand you Alexis!" he giggled

"With you, or someone I trust it's a bit different; I feel safe next to you. I absolutely need to see what is going on around me, or I will stay on the beach!" Sea, and water in general, was one or the only fear of Alexis

"Fair, my sister is a bit like you; I get what you mean. So, you have a weakness." Lando finished with a smirk

"More than one!" Alexis smirked as well, staring at him. The waiter arrived to take the orders.

"I would like the beef please." The waiter wrote down and looked at Alexis

"I would like a fish that inspire you today." The waiter was surprise by her order

"Any fish?" It was quite an unusual order

"I like everything so I want to taste your creativity and your passion!" Alexis was smiling to the confused waiter

"Alright, I have something in mind; I hope you will appreciate it Mrs." The waiter reaches the kitchen to prepared the orders

"What was that?" Lando was even more confused than the waiter

"Everything seemed tasty, there was too much choice; so I thought that he would know what would be the best option." Lando was still a bit confused "I trust you Lando, I know you trust him; so I trust him as well. From experience, nothing is better than something made with love and passion!" Alexis smiled to Lando

"You are such a special girl, Alexis; do you know that?" Lando smiled "No one is like you, or can even pretend being as good as you."

"Stop it, I will blush Lando." Alexis chuckled

"That is the point, I like when you blush princess." Lando grinned and succeed since Alexis started blushing

"Are you ready for your week end muppet." Alexis changed the subject

"The car is nice, and everything is alright with the setup; could be a great week end."

"I'm asking about your state of mind Lando, not the car; I know your car and it's better not to talk about it because of our jobs." Alexis was more serious at the end

"True, sometimes I forgot all about it. But since yesterday, I couldn't imagine starting the weekend in better conditions; I'm sure it's a win!" Lando chuckled
