Hi Babe,

I haven't written a letter to you in a little while. So sorry for that. But I was really busy getting back to work. Snapper gave me a lot of assignments because I had to 'catch up'. So I have written and made up ideas for nights and nights in a row. I've been mostly working at night. Not only because I had to do loads of work but also because our baby has decided that nighttime is the time to party. He or she loves kicking me in the ribs.

Even though I have a baby belly showing it does not seem like people are noticing. That should be good but starting today I'm done with that and I want to show the world I'm pregnant. So a few days ago I ordered my first maternity clothes. I ordered a dress but also just a blouse and pants. And I really like blouses (as you know) so I decided to go with that.

When I woke up this morning I opened the curtains and saw the sun was shining already. I was surprised about that because the last weeks in National City were full of rain and grey clouds. So I checked the weather forecast and saw that today was gonna be a sunny and warm day.

Great. No matter what I was gonna wear my new blouse with my denim pants. But a coat wouldn't be necessary. So everyone (also the paparazzi's) would see me instantly.

So the minute I left my apartment I called Alex. Just to keep me company.

'Hi Al, do you have a minute?'

'Yeah, but I'm almost off to the DEO.'

'Mhm, that's great. I'm on my way to work now. And I can partly fly but as always I have to walk for the last 6 minutes.'

'Okay, so what's different about that today?' Alex asked.

'I'm wearing new clothes. Maternity clothes for the first time. I'm really showing.'

'That's so great! I want pictures!'

'Yeah, yeah hold on.' I said.

I scrolled through my gallery and sent Alex a picture of the outfit I took a photo in the mirror this morning. Right before I took off in the air.

'Wow Kara, your little one is growing so fast.'

'Yeah, it is. But what do I need to say when people ask me how far I'm along?'

'Well just say it's hard to say and then change the subject. You're a reporter, you'll be fine.'

'Hmm... I guess. I landed in a bush and have to walk now so can we stop talking about my pregnancy and just talk about you or something.'

Alex chuckled on the other side of the line. 'Sure.'

From that moment on we just talked about Alex her day. I saw people pointing to me in the corner of my eyes and I already saw someone take a picture. Luckily minutes later I arrived at Catco. I only needed to go up to our work floor. In the elevator, I was hoping to run into Nia because we arrive quite often at the same time. But I guess she was working already.

I stepped into the elevator to find William Dey. He is one of my co-workers and I don't really like him. 'Hey, Kara. Didn't know you were pregnant.' he started.

I sighed. 'Hi, William, nice to see you too.'

'Wait, how long are you pregnant already? And who is the father?' He asked with a frown on his face.

At that exact moment, I was saved by the ding of the elevator. 'Sorry I have a meeting, bye William.' I told him.

I rushed to my desk and dropped my stuff. Nia looked at me. 'Ahh... look at you!' Nia says friendly. We talked some more and started our workday. I had a lot of things to do.

At 10 a.m. I went out to have an interview. But not just an interview... With Cat Grant. She was my old boss while I was her assistant. But she decided to leave Catco. The interview is about how she's doing now for our social media detox special. Because she also deleted all her social media.

So we went to meet up in Catco itself. I personally insisted on going to a restaurant or something but when you're interviewing Cat Grant you don't really have a choice. So we met in one of the office spaces in Catco.

I had been sitting there already when Ms. Grant walked in. 'Well, well.' She said while taking off her big sunglasses. 'It has been a while, Keira.'

'It certainly has.' I say while standing up to give her a hug.

I feel the eyes of Miss Grant slip over my body. 'Times have changed. I'm happy for you Kara.'

'Thank you, Miss Grant.' I say while proudly putting my hands on my baby belly.

And with that being said we started the interview. It was easy to ask questions to miss Grant because I had worked for her so long I just knew all the right questions to ask. The hour I planned for the interview went by quite quickly so I wrapped it up.

'Kara, I don't mean to pry but I heard about Lena being missing. Are you okay?'

'It's okay miss grant. You are not prying. To be honest I'm a wreck. I don't know anything. But I try to keep hope.'

'I see, like supergirl... Hope.' Miss Grant mumbles. But I just pretend I didn't hear that because normal people don't have superhearing.

'And the baby?' Miss Grant asks.

'Yes, it's ours. So that's hard. She doesn't know I'm expecting.' I tell Miss Grant honestly. Otherwise, I know she'll just pry until she finds something useful.

'Oh. I'm so sorry. If you need any help you can call me.' Miss Grant says before she hugs me.

'Thanks. I will remember that.' I say and I watch Miss Grant leave the room.

Hours later it's the middle of the day. I was working on my desk with some music to try and concentrate on my article. I completely shut myself off of everything happening around me.

I jump when Snapper suddenly stands in front of me and throws a document on my table. With a loud noise, it lands on my desk.

'Blondie. Micah just called in sick. Apparently, you can't work when your cat died.' He says with a sigh.

'So this assignment is yours now.'

'Snapper, I still have a lot to do and...' I say but Snapper cuts me off.

'Blondie, no buts.'

I slam my fist on the table and stand up. 'Yes there is a but. I have limits Snapper. I'm expecting, have been for a while now and you didn't even notice or asked. So for now it's okay to do these articles but this is the last article I'm taking from now on. I don't want to overdo things to risk the health of my baby.'

Snapper stayed silent for a minute. Honestly, I've never seen him like that.

'Fine, but before your leave, you need to finish all of them.' He says before he sniffs and walks away.

I look around to see lots of people looking at me. Also Nia and Winn. 'Wow, Kara! The nerve you have.' Nia says. We laughed about it together and then went back to work for another few hours.

When I got home I heated up some left-over soup with my heat vision and dropped it on the table beside the couch. My legs were killing me. I turned on the TV and instantly saw myself. 'Kara Danvers is spotted with a baby belly. Does she already have a new lover now that Lena Luthor is missing? Or is Luthor gonna be duplicating?' I gagged with the sound of that. I mean, our situation is difficult but how they say this: just sucks. I turned on Netflix and watched a

So well, Lena, this was what my day was like. It was a tiring day so now I'm going to sleep. If our baby lets me. Alex is coming by in a few days for an ultrasound. I'm very curious about that.

Love you, Lee.

Goodnight.

Kara
