Chapter 6 (Vampires...... Not Even Going To Say It.)

Gwen's POV

The next morning. me, Sera, Phillip, and Malcolm were playing in the woods hunting ( by hunting I mean me and Sera watching as Malcolm and Phillip hunt) when I see Phillip stop in his tracks. He whispers something to Malcolm and they come sprinting over to us. "Hey I think we should go guys, me and Phillip sense something bad coming." Malcolm said uneasily. " "Oh are the big bad wolves trying to save the damsels in distress." said a voice from behind. I turned around only to see three vampires from Vampire academy. The leader was a tall male with blond hair that looked like it had gel in it, red eyes, and was super pale. The girl next to him wasn't as pale with brown hair and one red eye, and one orange . The last vampire had the same tone and color hair as the girl but he had all orange eyes and black highlights. "What do you want, Niles?" Malcolm said unhappily. " Oh, nothing much just hunting like you but, difference is we're better at it than you." Niles said with a smirk. " Well pretty boy want to prove that?!?" Malcolm said angrily. "Sure like the oversized dogs are going to beat us!" Niles said sarcastically. "Ok three of us and three of you." said the girl. Before Malcolm was able to object Phillip agreed. "Ok so I was thinking it could be me Malcolm and Gwen." Phillip said. " "No!!! I don't want Gwen to do this, why not Sera?!?" Malcolm quickly said. (Wow that's the first time he didn't agree to letting me do a competition.) "Gwen is the better hunter and it's not like Gwen is bad at it in fact, she is better than most of the other female wolves and you know that. Sera can't do it cause she doesn't like killing animals so she can't do it." "I know but I...... I mean what if..... you know what, Gwen do you want to do this?" "Of course I do. We can't contact the pack they won't show up on time and Phillip is right I am the best choice for now." (Ever since Malcolm took over the pack, Malcolm's father taught me how to hunt and I became very skilled at it.) "Alright since you say so just try not to get hurt." (What?!?! Malcolm has never told me to be careful. Now he's really acting weird.) The Vampires came back only to be surprised to see me doing the hunt. "Why is the human doing the hunt? Their so weak!!" said Niles. "Yeah and on top of that, she's a girl. We don't want her getting hurt out their in the cold woods." The other boy said putting his hands around my hips. "Don't touch her!!!!!!!" Malcolm said pushing him away from me. They had a glaring contest till The girl barged in and started yelling at the boy. "Victor!!! Calm yourself, you can have your trophy when we win." "Fine Emma I will, just stop yelling at me." After that we went into a circle and Sera told everyone the rules.

" Ok here are the rules.

#1 Everyone has a certain part of the wood that they are only allowed to hunt in that area
#2 No fighting other hunters
#3 If two hunters see the same animal who ever had the last attack on the animal before it died gets to have the animal.
Ok, you have 10 minutes to hunt after the time is over report back here so we can count the animals the group with the most animals wins. Ready set go!!!!!!!" And the hunt began.

Everyone kind of went their own separate ways. I ran through the woods until I saw a deer and was about to kill it when a tiger came out of no where and killed it. I tried to slowly walk away when I tripped on a branch.(Oh yay that trusty branch that's guaranteed to make any girl trip when their trying to escape from something.) The tiger saw me and attacked me and I was able to dodge it, but it scratched my arm. It pounced on me trying to use its teeth to eat me, but before it could do it I grabbed my dagger and stuck it in the tiger's chest. After it died I tied up the body and treated my wound. When I finished, I walked back to where everyone is and Sera started counting. "Ok right now its 18 for the werewolves and 20 for the vampires Gwen its your turn." I went up to Sera with my tiger and she was shocked to see it in fact, almost everyone was shocked to see it. "Gwen where did you get that from?" "In my part of the woods, it killed the deer I was going to kill so I tried to run but it saw me so it was either going to be me or the tiger, and I wasn't planning on dying today. Everyone was so shocked except for Niles who was smirking. "Who cares that's only one animal, so we win by default." "Not so fast, this tiger was from the dark realm, it must have escaped while the dark realm was open, so that considers it a rare animal, which means the werewolves win." Everyone got excited except for the vampires. "But, but, but impossible!!!! Come Emma and Victor. We have to leave before we lose more intellect." Nile quickly ran off along with Emma and Victor, but before Victor left he winked at me. (Ugh I hate that dude.) I pulled Malcolm aside to talk to him. "Hey Malcolm, I got a question." "What?" "What's up with you?" "What do you mean by that?" "I mean what's with you being so over protective of me. Your being more protective of me than you are to your sister. It's kind of annoying." "Ok,ok, I'm sorry it's just a phase it will be over." "........." "Malcolm, what did you say?" "Nothing!!!! Nothing of importance." I knew he was lying, but I didn't say anything, it would have done nothing to help the situation. "Alright, well me and Phillip need to go home see ya." And they both turned wolf and left.

"Well, I guess it's just me and you." "Yeah.....hey can I ask you something?" "What?" "How so you and Phillip thrive? I mean you two are different. One argument could end in either someone getting burned or scratched to death." She looked at me for a moment and then answered my question. "Well we have something that most people don't. We have control, even when one of us is mad, we are able to control ourselves." "Cool I guess." "So what about your relationship?" "I'm not in one, I've never found the one, if you know what I mean." "Yeah, I understand but you never know you might be looking in the wrong places." "What does that mean?" "Oh nothing." And for the rest of the time it was silent.

Hey peeps, so I finally finished chapter 6 yippy!!! Ok so I developed two relationships Gwen and Malcolm and Gwen and Sera. I feel so proud!!! So, next chapter I'm either going to show you John's new power or Gwen's new power. Idk just expect someone getting new powers. So I feel like this story is going off track so I'm going to try to throw it back on track. Ok well I'm getting very tired cause its likes 10:00pm.
