Edrisa was wearing a red dress with off-the-shoulder straps, that stopped just above her knees at the front, and was a bit longer in the back.

Ainsley was wearing a long, red, deep v-neck, lacey dress that made her look and feel confident.

Maya was wearing a white princess-style dress with spaghetti strap sleeves, while her mother Sarah was wearing a black mid-calf lengthed dress with ribbon straps and pockets.

Jessica was wearing a long green, mermaid-styled, strapless, deep cut front dress while her sister Birdie was wearing a long green dress that had fabric that draped nicely over her right arm and had silver sequins across her chest.

Malcolm chuckled softly as he took in everyone's outfits, "Even if we don't have a big and extravagant wedding, we'll still have an extravagant wedding with all of your outfits." He said with a smile.

Dani chuckled at Malcolm's comment, "You don't have any issues with that do you?" She asked as Maya ran over to Malcolm to show him her dress."No, I don't have an issue with that," Malcolm said to Dani before giving Maya his full attention, "Look at you Maya, you look like a princess like Dani."

"Really? I look like a pwincess?" Maya asked as Malcolm picked her up.

Malcolm nodded, "Yeah, I can't wait to see you and Dani looking like princesses in these dresses in a few months." He said to Maya with a smile.

Dani smiled as she watched Malcolm interacting with Maya before going into the change room to change out of her wedding dress.

"Nobody needs to worry about purchasing their outfits for the wedding, I will be paying for them," Jessica said once Dani had stepped out of the change room.

"Jessica, you don't have to do that," Dani said as the other ladies took turns using the change room to change back into their regular clothes.

"As the mother of the groom, it is my duty to pay for different things for your wedding," Jessica said shaking her head as she stood to take her turn in the change room before Dani could make any more objections.

"Dani, there's no point in trying to fight her on this one," Malcolm said to Dani with a chuckle, "She's going to be making a lot of purchases related to our wedding and there's nothing we can do to stop her. Trust me."

Dani chuckled as Jessica came out of the change room and everyone left the room to buy the dresses and leave the bridal shop.

After they had all left the bridal shop, they headed to a nearby restaurant for lunch.

"Now remember, nothing here is too expensive when my mother is paying," Ainsley said with a laugh as they were seated at a big table.

Jessica rolled her eyes as she picked up the drink menu, "As much as I would love to disagree with my daughter's comment, she's right. Don't let the food prices scare you."

Malcolm took the drink menu from his mother and moved it down the table before sitting down next to Dani.

Jessica glared at Malcolm as a waiter came by to take everyone's drink orders before leaving to put in their orders.

Jessica was just about to speak again when a very familiar, overly excited voice rang through the air.

"Hey, it's my favourite group of people!" Vijay said as he walked over to their table, the woman who was with him rolling her eyes.

"Vijay, how are you? What are you doing here?" Malcolm asked as he turned in his chair to look at Vijay.

"I'm good, I'm good. I'm actually here to treat my wonderful woman to lunch," Vijay said as he wrapped his arm around the woman's waist, "This is my girlfriend, Nep."

Dani smiled warmly at Nep, "It's nice to meet you Nep, I'm Dani." She said as she held out her.

Nep smiled at Dani as she shook her hand, "It's so nice to meet you, Vijay has told me a bit about you from when he worked a case with your team."

Vijay chuckled awkwardly, "Well it was nice seeing you all, Nep and I will leave you to your lunch." He said before he and Nep walked away.

"Malcolm, are you going to invite Vijay to your wedding?" Ainsley asked as the waiter returned with their drinks.

Malcolm looked over at Dani before turning his attention to Ainsley, "Dani and I haven't discussed a guest list yet," He said to his sister, "We haven't even been engaged long enough for us to make our wedding plans."

Ainsley shrugged, "Hey, a girl starts dreaming about her wedding day when she's just a little girl. You two could have started talking about who to have on your guest list when you got home from mom's after announcing your engagement to us."

Malcolm rolled his eyes at his sister as the waiter took their lunch orders, "Ainsley, wedding planning takes time," He said when the waiter left, "I know this because I looked it up while I was still in the hospital."

After lunch, Malcolm and Dani stayed behind at the restaurant while the others left. They planned to informally invite Vijay and his girlfriend to their wedding.

"Hey, did everyone leave you two behind?" Vijay asked Malcolm and Dani when the two of them had walked over to the table that Vijay and Nep were sitting at.

"We told them to go on without us," Dani explained, "We actually wanted to talk to you about something."

Vijay looked at Dani curiously. The last time he had seen Dani, she barely spoke to him when he "helped" on their case. He was definitely surprised that she would want to talk to him now.

"I'm suddenly very intrigued," Vijay said as he smiled at Malcolm and Dani, "What did you want to talk to us about baby boy?"

Malcolm rolled his eyes at Vijay calling him baby boy which earned a chuckle from Nep.

"Malcolm and I are getting married, and we want to invite the two of you to our wedding," Dani said as she leaned against Malcolm, placing her hand on his chest, showing off her engagement ring.

"Baby boy's getting married? Congrats man!" Vijay said as he smiled at Dani and Malcolm, "I'm happy for you, both of you."

"We'll send out official wedding invitations in a few weeks, but we figured that since you were already at the same restaurant we were, we'd informally invite you first," Malcolm said as he wrapped an arm around Dani's waist.

"Is there a specific dress code for your wedding? I wouldn't want to buy a dress that's too extravagant for a wedding with a casual dress code." Nep said and Dani chuckled as she pulled out her phone to show Nep the photos of everyone's dresses for her wedding.

"I think it's safe to say that if you bought an extravagant dress for the wedding, you would not be overdressed," Dani said as she showed Nep the dress photos on her phone.
