Never Coming Back

The war took it away.

The innocence.

Will never be replaced.

Hearing gleeful cries.

Seeing your loves come back.

Or sorrow filled wails while receiving a single letter.

Too many deaths cast aside as sacrifice.

Too many considered heroes by simply living through.

Death follows those who run.

I suggest you run where shadows are crippled.

Just like so many of our own.
