"Look...you need to talk to him. I don't like thinking of him alone with you because I don't know what he'll try, but it can't be like this forever baby. He needs to understand that there's nothing between the two of you or else he'll be like this forever. Go. Take him out somewhere and talk to him. Take your phone with you incase anything happens. I'll be here." He explains, not wanting to hurt his best friend. It makes since though, why he can't hate Danny. They're in a band together, for one, and he can't throw away their friendship. Dylan and Danny have always been close since Danny joined the band. Maybe not onstage, but Danny always came to Dylan with his problems and vice versa. "Ok. I'll go. I'll be back soon. I love you." You state as you kiss his cheek and start to walk to where Danny was, still crying. "D-Danny. Don't cry. Come on. Let's go out for walk, maybe grab a coffee. It'll be just us two." He looks up at you with his brown eyes, tear stains on his cheeks. He doesn't say a word and just nods. He drags himself up from the couch and starts towards the door. As you close the door, you look back to see Dylan walking into the living room, a faint, understanding smile on his face. He waves and mouthes "I love you." Danny waits on the steps looking out at the sky. It was still pretty early and the sun looked beautiful. "I-Is it true?" You sigh, hoping you wouldn't have had to talk about this until the two of you arrived at the coffee shop. "Yes, Daniel, it's true. Dylan and I are engaged." You admit, expecting him to break out into tears and drop to the floor like he had earlier. To your suprise, he stayed calm. "Do you love him?" He asks, turning to face you. You smile to yourself a bit, thinking of Dylan. before replying. "Yes, I do love him. More than anything. We've been thinking. I've been thinking and...we may even have kids soon. When he first mentioned it, I was scared and shocked but...Dylan would make a good father; the way he was playing with Ava that one night." He nods, looking down at his feet now. "I get it. I-I'm sorry for kissing you. Also, for sleeping with you when you were drunk. I knew better and there's no excuse for it. I thought I loved you...I still do, but your happiness is all I care about. If Dylan makes you happy and you're sure he's what you want then I support you. I'll also back off. I'm sorry if I fucked anything up between you and Dylan. I just...lose control of myself around you." He admits. "I'll apologize to Dylan when we get back. I hope he doesn't hate me. Going after another guy's girl is fucked up, especially if it's your best friend's girl."He says as he kicks a small rock. "Yeah, ok. And Dylan doesn't hate you. He never could. He's the one who suggested I come talk to you; he doesn't like seeing his best friend hurt." You assure him as you walk into the coffee shop. You both sit in a booth, facing one another. "Yeah. That's another reason why he's better than me. He's a nice guy. You guys are perfect for each other." The waitress comes and gets your orders and brings your coffees fairly quickly. "Thanks." Danny says for the both of you. "No problem cutie." The waitress responds, throwing in a wink afterwards to Danny. He doesn't react, and instead just sips his coffee. This isn't helping. He's still sad. There's gotta be some way to make him feel better. "Danny?" His sad eyes meet yours. "Yes Y/N?" He asks, his tone not matching his facial expression. "Are you going to be ok?" He sighs. "I will be. Your happiness is more important than my feelings." You don't know how to respond and sip your coffee instead. You rests your hands on the table and zone out for a second until you realize Danny has your hand in his and is talking. "...and I know you and Dylan are together, but I want to say one last time before we go back and talk to him, that I love you. All I want is for you to be happy, so I wish the two of you the best. I hope you won't look at me different or hate me, because that'd just kill me inside. Anyways...as long as you're happy, I'm happy." He ends with a soft smile. You nod, wondering what you missed of his speech and smile back. "I couldn't hate you Daniel. You're a close friend of Dylan's and we've become close friends as well. We can put all this behind us. Thank you for allowing me to be happy with Dylan and not making drastic decisions. It's very kind and big of you." You say sincerely, trying to stealthily pull your hand away. He chuckles and stands, implying he's ready to leave. You stand as well and head out the door, waiting for Daniel. The waitress from before stopped him scribbled, what I assume is her phone number, on a piece of paper from her notepad and gave it to him. He took it and met me outside. He scoffed. "Yeah right," He said as he tore the small paper to shreds and letting it blow away in the light wind. You couldn't help but chuckle a bit. He smiles at you. "I'm glad we're okay (Y/N). I didn't want to lose our friendship, let alone lose mine and Dylan's friendship," He states as he looks down at his feet. You nod in agreement and continue walking. It doesn't take long until you're at yours and Dylan's home. You slowly step inside and find Dylan kicking back on the couch, asleep with a beer in his hand and 3 other beer bottles on the coffee table in front of the couch. You walk over to him and take the beer out of his hand, causing him to wake up. He smiles at you and then sees Danny. His smile somewhat fades but is still visible. "Dylan...I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have kissed your girlfriend, well fiance technially, now. Either way, it shouldn't have happened. There's no excuse for my actions and I hope you'll find it in your heart to forgive me and put this all behind us. If you two are happy then I'm not going to get in the way of that. You guys are good friends of mine and I can't lose either of you. You've been a good ass friend since we first met, and I completely understand if you beat the shit out of me right this second." Danny quickly states, looking extremely nervous afterwards. Dylan stays silent and stares at the now shaking Daniel. He mad-dogs him, then burts out laughing. "Of course I forgive you, you little fucker! Get over here!" Dylan shouts, standing and pulling Daniel into a suffocating hug. He looks confused for a second before chuckling and hugging Dylan back. "Alright! Now, who else is straving?!" Dylan shouts. You and Danny look at one another then both raise your hands. "Food!" Dylan says, pointing to the door. "I'll drive!" You offer. Danny and Dylan sit in the backseat, annoying the hell out of you while you drive to the Papa John's Danny and Dylan decided to get. At least we're all okay; we're all still friends. Thank god. Dylan losing Danny as a friend wouldn't end well, for anyone. Especially the band. They'd most likely split. Dylan and Danny seem to be getting along pretty well, basically as if nothing happened. It's pretty fucking amazing that Danny decided to let you go and be happy. Dylan is your true love. He's everything you've ever wanted and more. The wedding couldn't happen soon enough. You get lost in your marrital thoughts until Dylan has his arm around your shoulders, asking if you're okay. "Yeah babe. I'm fine." You respond smiling at him and Danny. It was true, you were happy. Your fiance and his best friend are okay, and you're recently engaged. What's better than that? Suddenly, you start to crave hot fries, thin mint cookies, whataburger, and big red at the most random moment...
