A couple of weeks go by, I start adapting to life here at the compound. I still had a coupe authority issues with Stryker, but not enough for him to want me gone, just enough for him to not like me as much as his other..."employees". I've been training, every day, alternating between Wade and James. They stopped going easy on me once they found out I could heal as fast as I could, of coarse Wade didn't like the idea of wounding me, jame didn't hesitate though, he said it was for the best, I agreed.
I start my days in the dining area with Chris and his morning paper, and usually end up hanging out with Fred or John around the common area, movies, chess, or some other bored game I'm not good at. The guys all really seem to be ok with me being here, even Victor offered to help me if I needed it. Zero however seemed like he is just indifferent to me being here, he doesn't really speak to me, and likes to keep to himself unless Stryker is around, I swear he would lick his boots clean if Stryker asked.
Anyway, right now I'm laying back in my bed, listening to the records John let me borrow to keep in my room. I haven't really had any time to myself recently. Wade usually sneaks in once in a while, to snuggle, talk, ask about how I'm liking my time playing military dog. I found out that he really wants to be a mercenary, but when Stryker approached him for the team, he figured this was as close as he was going to get, and he saw it as kind of a free training thing. His sence of humor really helped me a lot here. There was still one thing ripping at the back of my mind. I was curious about my brother, how he was doing...
I heard my door open and shut softly, I turned seeing Wade sitting down two glasses of mountain dew. I smiled when he laid down in bed beside me. "You're a sweet heart when you want to be, ya know." I said laying on my head on his chest.
He wrapped his arm around my shoulder. "Only to you baby, only to you." HE said kissing my forhead. We laid there in silence listening to the music on the record player, the sound was wonderful. The last mission we went on, it was a little disturbing. I couldn't question Stryker, for fear of him banishing me from the compoud, the guys....from Wade. "So what do you have planned for today?" he asked leaning his chin o my head.
I laughed. "Do you really think I have any plans?" I asked sitting up in my bed and lighting a cigarette.
"You really should slow down." He said taking a drag from mine.
"Healing factor..." I said shrugging. "The truth is, I"ve never had any trouble with my smoking." I kissed his shoulder. He says it feels wierd when I kiss him there, but I know he loves when I adore his muscles, his body. UP until this point though, theres been no mention of a relationship, or what "we" are exactly. I just kind of go with it though.
"Well I need you to come downstairs with me" He said grabbing my hand, pulling me up off the bed.
"Where are we going?" I asked laughing.
He through me over his shoulder "No time." He said. I laughed the whole way down into the dining area.
He put me down and I smiled. The whole room was dimly lit, the table in the back was made up, and two roses were sat in a vase in the center. He wrapped his arms around me from behind and laid his chin on my shoulder. "I figured you could use a nice relaxing dinner after the mission. You still kinda seem shaken up." He said kissing my cheek. He lead me over to the table, pulled my chair out for me, and sat me down very gentlemenly. "I," He kissed my cheek again. "Will be right back." And with that he disappeared in the kitchen.
I smiled looking at the two beautiful flowers on the table, He really went through some trouble doing this, and making sure the guys wouldn't bother us. Just then he came back out carrying two plates, He sat mine down and I gasped a littled. "Wow, Chicken Parm, very nice Wade." I said smiling. He sat his down and joined me at the table.
