As the sails drew nearer and nearer towards the shore of Satilant Island, Matthew raced past the trees as June followed. He ran back to the tree with the carved symbols.
"This could be leading us to Atlantis. Look! There's another tree with the symbol!" Matthew said as he followed. There was a trail of trees with the symbols carved on them, leading the two all the way to the other side of the island. They stopped by a tree, which was the last one with the symbol; beyond that was just a huge stone wall.
"What now?" June asked.
"There should be a gap somewhere where we could put the tooth." Matthew said as he dragged his hand across the wall, trying to feel a gap. Suddenly he felt an edge. He looked at where his hand was at. There was a gap, shaped of a tooth.
"June! Look! This is it!" Matthew gasped excitedly. In a hurry, he pushed the tooth into the gap. Nothing. He pressed against the tooth. It seemed like a button, for a huge hole appeared beneath the two; and the next moment they were sliding down a huge slide, screaming as they went. They ended up in a massive puddle.
"Matthew, look!" June gasped. They were in a huge cave with a bent ceiling. It was like the half of a dome. Matthew looked ahead. There was a huge entrance to a complete different environment. They ambled into the light, there were lesser trees, and there was more water. Ponds at every angle. It was a secret part of the island. Stone walls arched around the area, making the entire place look like an arena. If Matthew were to climb the stone walls, he would just be at a random place on the Island. He looked back at the waterfall. The waterfall ended in a huge lake, and on that lake, was a huge monument-like building.
"June, we found it." Matthew gasped in awe as he stepped closer and closer to the building. "It's just as I pictured it! When I saw the shape of Atlantis all those months ago, we were actually sailing across Satilant Island! Just that this part of the Island was underwater, and the rest of the Island was just right next to us all along! It was only because of the storm that was making it hard to notice it. It all makes sense now!"
June stood there, smiling as Matthew spoke.
"I'm glad we did. Now, it's up to us to protect. Where are those emergency weapons Suka told us to find—"
She walked around the perimeter of the area and found a little line of well-arranged weapons. Matthew joined June and they started picking out their weapons.
"Oh, and June?" Matthew said as he turned to June.
"Mm?" June turned to look at him.
"Just be careful," Matthew warned simply, but sincerely, "they have electric weapons that can electrocute you. I'm not very good at dodging these kinds of weapons but..."
He picked up a sword and a round shield.
"... I'll do my best. And promise me this..."
He took Junes hand and looked her in the eyes.
"... don't die."
"Matthew, you know I can't promise that—"
"No June, you have to promise me you won't." Matthew said, his voice was beginning to shake a little. His face looked so serious all June could do was nod briskly. Just at that moment they heard a horn not far up ahead.
"Oh, no. They're here."
A load of men leaped into the arena-shaped area, yelling as they went; they stopped right before June and Matthew.
"Step aside." a cold, deep voice sounded among the men. Matthew pointed his sword towards the direction of the sound. A tall man, his beard looked really bushy, and his eyes were dark and cold, so menacing it made the hairs on the back of Matthew's head stand up straight. His hair was so curly it looked like it was a wig from the wool of sheep.
