As blades clashed and pierced through the hearts of living souls, warriors fell back to the ground. The grass was now soaked in red. Blood. Meanwhile Suka was getting weaker and weaker as he defended himself from Hyusho's wild strikes.

"You're not going to win!" Hyusho roared as he swiped his bolt across Suka's sword, knocking it out of his hand. The blade of the sword fell down vertically and shot through the roof. Suka reached his hand out to grab it, but was kicked to the side by Hyusho, who stood in his way.

"You can't destroy this place. We swore an oath to protect it at all costs!" Suka growled.

"And so you will pay that cost!" Hyusho spat as he raised his bolt. "And it will all be for nothing!"

The bolt started to prickle with lightning as he got ready to strike. Suka groaned helplessly as he fell, waiting for his end.

"Come on, Matthew! You have to rest!" June urged as she tried to pull Matthew from where he was heading, but Matthew only yanked his hand away and walked faster.

"Matthew!"

"What?" Matthew finally turned to June. June flinched. Matthew read the shocked look on her face and sighed, "Look, June. I have to go down there. Suka made me the Guardian of Atlantis and I let him down!"

"No you didn't..."

"Yes I did, June! If I didn't let Suka down, Hyusho wouldn't even be on that roof right now!" Matthew said. June couldn't stand it anymore.

"Fine!" she yelled. It was Matthew's turn to flinch. He stared at June, who was now glaring at him, in surprise.

"If you're not going to listen to me, then don't!" she didn't like the way she sounded, but she couldn't help herself. "I won't stand in your way anymore, I won't worry about your health and I won't even care if you fall. That's what you want, right? Yeah!"

June pushed Matthew aside and stomped away, she stopped by a tree and took a deep, uncomfortable, shuddering breath and turned to look at a shocked Matthew, "I can't believe I've been following a screwup."

Matthew gasped softly. June, only then realising what she had just blurted, immediately fell into tears and turned away. The next second she was gone within the trees, leaving a hurt heartbroken Matthew in the depths of the woods.

She did not just say that, Matthew kept thinking to himself as he continued his way to the secret door. Leaping into the open hole, Matthew soon found himself before blood-soaked grass and yelling people fighting. Matthew drew a deep breath of the cold air as night began to fall. He crept along the walls, keeping himself out of sight from any of the people within the battlefield. He reached the emergency weapons. There were very few left. Only a short dagger, a battle axe and a sword was left. Matthew also spotted a bow and a quiver full of arrows lying next to it. Matthew slung the quiver over his back along with his bow, then he picked up the sword on the ground and turned to the battlefield. He inhaled and exhaled sharply, his heart felt sick and heavy.

Matthew continued creeping along the walls until he reached the bridge. He crawled silently over and swiftly sprinted over the bridge into the building. Remembering the way up to the roof, Matthew managed to reach Hyusho and Suka just in the nick of time when Hyusho was about to strike. Matthew noticed black steins all around Suka.

Must be from the bolt. Suka was dodging his strikes, Matthew thought as he raised his sword and charged. Hyusho aimed his bolt at Matthew once again.

"Not this time," Matthew muttered as he skirted left to dodge the lightning bolt shot towards him.

"I see you left your girlfriend." Hyusho smirked, he raised his bolt and charged at Matthew. Matthew raised his sword higher and charged, but as he did, his wound split open and he let out a loud yell of pain as he tumbled to the ground. Hyusho stopped in his tracks and lowered his weapon, scoffing at Matthew, who clutched his stomach, groaning loudly in agony. Hyusho turned back to Suka, who just in time managed to pull his sword out from the roof and was at the ready.
