~chapter 20~

2 weeks have gone by and it was finally my birthday. I was excited that i would finally see Draco. It's been the same boring routine everyday.

Wake up, and pretty much do nothing the rest of the day, besides routine dinner.

It was like this every summer. Every time i came home i made sure i had a stack of books in my room so i at least had something to do.

Once i woke up i found 6 letters on my dresser. One from Blaise, Pansy, Mattheo, Theo, Aria, and Liza.

They did this every year on my birthday. They wrote me a nice heartfelt birthday letter.

I was reading all not my letters when i got a unexpected knock at the door. "Come in"

In came my sister and Marina with a stack of blueberry pancakes singing happy birthday to me.

"Marina you didn't have to make me pancakes, thank you guys" i say with a wide smile on my face.

"It's the least i can do." she replies handing me the pancakes.

"Happy birthday sis" my sister say handing me a box with a red bow on top. I give her a confused look as for my sister never gave me a present on my birthday. It's never bothered me, and since my birthday wasn't during the school year, her company was all i needed during the day.

I first took the bow off then proceeded to open the box revealing a beautiful casual dress with small flower details on it. "Ava, it's beautiful thank you so much" i say getting up and giving her a hug.

Once i ate my pancakes and got dressed in the new dress Ava got me i headed downstairs and was immediately greeted by my parents.

"Happy birthday honey" my mom says giving me a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

"Ive asked our chef to cook you your favorite meal tonight" she says leading me over to the living room couches, my father following.

Once i sit down my mother puts a small wrapped box down in front of me.

I looked at her with a smile and proceeded to open up the box taking the wrapper off and crumbling it up into a ball. When i opened up the box it reveal a beautiful butterfly bracelet with one butterfly in the middle of the chain. Covered in diamonds.

"Mother, Father it's beautiful, thank you so much." i say giving each of them a hug.

I asked my mother if she could help me clasp the bracelet around my wrist and she did. It fit my wrist perfectly.

We all sat around in the living room, laughing, talking, like a real family. I knew it was all act for my birthday. Tomorrow it would be back to the normal ways of barely talking to each other.

In the middle of my sister telling a funny story about one of her classmates from school, Marina called out that it was time to eat dinner.

In front of me was a huge turkey, cooked perfectly, mashed potato's and corn. All in a plate in front of me and it looked delicious.

Once i finished eating i said my farewells, thank you's and told everyone i was going up to my room to read. When really it was to meet Draco.

Although, while i was waiting for Draco, i found myself on my bed reading a book. Not surprising. 

After about 10 minutes of reading, Draco apparated to my room. "Hello Darling, Happy Birthday."

I immediately got excited and ran over to him wrapping my arms around his neck hugging him tightly. "I missed you" i say with my face buried in his neck.
