·Chapter 14· Part 1 "Family"(Short chapter)

Brontes POV

Alpha Brontes was a busy man, with a pack this large it was never ending but it was also very rewarding, he couldn't manage without his love and Luna but also the support and help of his Beta and best friend Leander, his mate Jane, Nero his brother and his mate Ted, they had all become such good friends and a little family. I was just starting my day when the phone rang, it was my dads old werewolf buddy Axel who owned the little café Delights with his little human mate Lily in the next town, if I remember rightly Regina had started working for them not too long ago...I suddenly had a bad feeling in my gut!

After speaking with Axel for nearly an hour I was fuckin livid and couldn't control my breathing...how fuckin dare she..that skanky whore plans to kill my best friends mate! I tried to control myself but Clara must have felt my anger in our bond which I'd left open by mistake..."Brontes baby, are you ok?...I can feel you are really angry and upset, what's wrong baby and is there anything I can help with?"...I had to get her back here with Jane as soon as possible, even though Regina had just left for work, myself and Luca felt unsettled, I had things to discuss with my Beta and Warriors! ..."Angel can you and Jane pop over to the office please, there are a few things that I need to discuss with you"..I tried to stay calm and put my block up so Clara couldn't feel what I really wanted to express..as soon as I had finished speaking with Clara I spoke through the link to my best friends who were all now my little family.. "Leander, Nero and Ted, my office please as soon as possible"..."Coming Alpha" was replied instantly by all 3 men...this was going to be hard and I wasnt sure how Leander was going to handle this or how the fuck I was even going to begin to explain the situation!...

The first to arrive to my office was my Beta and best friend Leander, closely followed by my brother Nero and his mate Ted, the latter two chose to sit in the love seat which I'm sure wasnt strong enough for those two big fuckers but the love seat was the last of my fuckin worries! The men in the room not only served me as their Alpha they were my best friends, the thought we had someone in our pack that could cause a threat made me pierce my lips as my canines protruded causing blood to dribble..all three men looked at me worryingly "What's wrong man, come on spill" Leander asked with a worried frown..as I was about to speak we heard the laughter of Clara and Jane, Leander's face shone with love, as the girls entered, Jane went over to Leander to sit at his side as Clara pulled a chair next to mine, I lifted her off the chair quickly and sat her on my lap while inhaling her scent to calm my wolf and I down..there was no easy way to do this so here goes......

As calmly as I could I explained my phone call this morning with Axel and what he had said regarding concern with one of their members of staff "Regina" there was no easy way to tell Leander the plan that Regina was plotting against his mate Jane so I told him everything I knew. Leander was up with lightning speed and put his fist straight through my fuckin office wall then threw the chair he had been sitting on across the room...fuck! Jane jumped up at lightning speed and ran over to him to hug him, she was sobbing uncontrollably trying to understand how Regina could dislike her that much to want to end her life...what about her true mate, was she not prepared to wait for him? Leander scooped Jane up and was whispering in her ear how very sorry he was and that this was all his fault, the guys stood from the love seat pointing for him to sit, his soothing words and kisses while rocking his mate was of little comfort but, she was slowly calming down, all this time I was rubbing my mates sides as I could feel anger rolling off her like I had never known, she wasnt the only one either, Ted was fuckin furious...we all were, this had rocked our little world, never before in the Canis Major Pack had anything like this happened before and now we had to decide how we were going to deal with the threat called Regina without her suspecting or doing anything stupid before we could stop her.
